The golf-themed mockery's origins can be traced back to the June 27 presidential debate between Trump and Biden.

The Blast noted that moderator Dana Bash's question to both candidates about the public's concerns regarding their age sparked barbs.

In his response, Trump boasted about his cognitive abilities, mentioning that he had taken multiple cognitive tests during his presidency. After suggesting that Biden should take an "easy" test, he stated:

"I just won two club championships this year. Not even senior, Two regular club championships. To do that, you have to be quite smart, and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way, and I do it. He [Biden] doesn't do it. He can't hit a ball 5o yards. He challenged me to a golf match... he can't hit a ball 50 yards."
