Quavo To Star In Upcoming 'Wash Me In The River' Film

Quavo continues to be one of the biggest names in hip-hop despite and he Migos being on a music hiatus recently. He also knows how to be very marketable as he's appeared in various ads, NBA All-Star Weekend celebrity games, and also collaborated with the hometown Atlanta Hawks on multiple occasions. 

Now, the Migos rapper is crossing over to the music industry as well as he has a film coming up. This is titled "Wash Me In The River." He will join a star-studded cast as well.

Among the other stars set to appear in "Wash Me In The River" will be Robert De Niro, John Malkovich and Jack Huston, according to Variety. Randall Emmett serves as the director as the film is currently being filmed in Puerto Rico. Quavo will play the role of Coye, who is a "ruthless and heartless drug lord." Wash Me In The River is also categorized as an action-thriller which is based off of "No Country For Old Men." The plot features an opioid addict that wants revenge on Coyote due to him selling drugs that killed his "lover."

Quavo being ecstatic for the release of "Wash Me In The River" is an understatement. He went as far as telling Varietythat this film will be "one of the greatest to come of this time."

"I honestly think this movie is going to be one of the greatest to come of this time,” Quavo said. 

“The experience was unbelievable for me, with Robert DeNiro and Jack Huston being so down to earth and making me feel like family. Gonna see me doing some stunts and a lot of what you hear from me in my raps! This is one of my biggest debuts I’ve ever had, and so proud of what we did and to get to work with Randall who’s such an amazing guy — I can’t wait to do more films with him”

Quavo also took to his Instagram feed to reveal his role in "Wash Me In The River." He labeled the film as an "Action-Packed, gangsta ass movie." He also can't wait for viewers to see how well he does with his role as Coyote. He also loves the cast he's starring alongside with.

Emmett also spoke to Quavo on his role in the movie and is also very excited about what the rapper brings to this film. He sees Quavo as a super star and a "real actor."

‘Quavo is a superstar and a real actor,” explained Emmett. “Getting to see him bring the Coyote character to life is very exciting, and I think he is going to have a film career equally as big as his music.”

Quavo has plenty filmography experience so he is definitely ready. His previous work includes "Atlanta" on FX, "Narcos: Mexico" and "Black-ish."
