Princess Anne becomes the latest Royal Family member to miss duties due to her health.
The Princess Royal sparked concerns about her well-being after she was hospitalized for an unspecified incident. However, new reports revealed what happened and how the 73-year-old is faring following her injuries.
Princess Anne is the third senior royal to suffer a health crisis after brother King Charles III and Kate Middleton's cancer diagnoses.
Princess Anne Is Reportedly Suffering From Memory Loss
According to sources, King Charles III's only sister was injured by a horse on Sunday, June 23. It is unclear if she fell off the mount or if the animal had attacked her somehow.
However, reports note she was injured during a horse-related incident while enjoying a stroll around her Gatcombe Park estate. Her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, their daughter Zara Tindall, and son Peter Phillips were all present when the event happened.
Princess Anne spent her second night in the hospital on Monday, where test results revealed she suffered a concussion, resulting in memory loss. Fortunately, the condition is believed to be temporary, as shared by RadarOnline.
The Princess Royal Was Forced To Cancel All Of Her Royal Duties
Given her concussion-induced memory loss, the Princess Royal has been compelled to cancel her upcoming royal duties. These events include a state visit and a trip to Canada, all of which medical professionals believe the 73-year-old cannot partake in at the time.
"On doctors' advice, Her Royal Highness's engagements for the week ahead will be postponed," Anne's spokesperson revealed, adding: "Her Royal Highness sends her apologies to any who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result."
Although the rep stated that only a week's worth of duties have been postponed, the outlet noted Princess Anne is expected to miss several weeks of royal duties amid her recovery — a heartbreaking outcome for the senior royal.
King Charles III's Former Royal Butler Addresses His Sister's Absence
King Charles' former royal butler, Grant Harrold, weighed in on the postponement of Princess Anne's royal duties and how this outcome would likely affect her. In a statement, he said:
"Anne could be out of royal duties for the next few days or even weeks. As one of the hardest-working members of the Royal family, it's going to have a big impact on her."
"This incident will probably make Anne even more determined to ensure it doesn't happen again," Harrold continued, adding: "I know she will want to recover quickly so she can get back to her royal duties."

"She's fine. Slow but sure," Sir Timothy told reporters outside the hospital. He also flaunted his status as a doting husband, revealing he had brought his wife a few treats from home in the blue bag he carried.
Princess Anne's husband did not share further details about her horse-related incident. However, the senior royal is well known for her equestrian skills, winning the Individual European Three-Day Event at Burghley in 1971.
Buckingham Palace Announced Princess Anne's Hospitalization

However, the Palace did not share what happened to the 73-year-old but noted she suffered " minor injuries and a concussion."
Princess Anne was admitted into the Southmead Hospital, Bristol, where she remained "as a precautionary measure for observation." The statement assured the public of her wellbeing, noting she "is expected to make a full and swift recovery."
As for the Royal Family's reaction to her hospitalization, Buckingham Palace added: "The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole Royal Family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to The Princess for a speedy recovery."
