In her post, Renton says she's spent time wondering whether people are actually looking out for her.

“I have felt isolated, lonely and depressed. Do people care about me for me? Or because I have been on TV?"

"I have been trapped in a constant guessing game of what people’s true intentions really are.... Always smiling on the outside, because that is what is expected of me.”

Though she's still going through depression, Renton says she's tired of trying to fit into society's mold.

"So much of this life is smoke and mirrors. I have never been one to play the game very well…. I think my soul is too pure for that. I can’t lie, I cant cheat, I cant steal and I sure as hell cant pretend to be someone I am not. So take a good look at the person in this picture… cause I will no longer will allow myself to be that lost soul."

Renton has plenty of supporters on social media. Some wanted her to know that she's not alone in her battle with depression:

"Hi Kristen, I know true depression far to well. I know how you feel & all I can say is stay strong. Some days seem impossible, on those days, if you can reach out to someone who can be there for you, someone who cares about you and someone who won't judge you. Someone who can just sit with you and listen. You don't have to be alone with your pain and confusion."

Renton's also been posting some cute pictures of dogs on her Instagram, and besides being calming creatures, they really are adorable.
