Tiffany Haddish recently made a remark about Justin Timberlake's DWI arrest during a conversation about her own sobriety journey.

The comment came amid reports that the award-winning singer was "freaking out" about the effect of his DUI arrest. Timberlake has insisted that he wasn't drunk and only had one drink that night.

Justin Timberlake was arrested on Tuesday in the Sag Harbor community of the Hamptons on Long Island, New York, for allegedly driving while drunk and is currently scheduled to appear in court in July.

Haddish took the opportunity to throw a subtle jab at Justin Timberlake during a discussion about her sobriety journey. The comment by the comedienne was because of the singer's recent arrest for driving while intoxicated (DWI) in the Hamptons last week.

During a red carpet interview, Haddish, who has been arrested twice for a DUI, was asked about how she has handled quitting drinking.

According to the Daily Mail, Haddish responded that sobriety hasn't changed her "at all" and said that it's actually drinking alcohol that changes people because it allows for "toxic relationships."

As the interview wrapped up, Haddish then said, "You better ask Justin Timberlake that same sh-t!"

The interview took place during Haddish's hosting appearance at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards honoring Black talent.

Haddish's comments about Timberlake come amid reports that the "Suit & Tie" singer was "freaking out" while in police custody after his DWI arrest.

He's also reportedly having issues accepting that his "golden boy image" is coming to an end after years of being loved in Hollywood.

Timberlake was held in police custody overnight, arraigned shortly after, and then released without bail.

A source told People Magazine, "He was freaking out and stayed up all night when he was in custody. He's insisting he only had one drink, and it wasn't some wild night out."

According to his arrest report, Timberlake was stopped after officers noticed his unsteady and fast driving. The singer then unsuccessfully underwent a sobriety test and also refused to take a breathalyzer test.

Amid his arrest scandal, Timberlake is also reportedly struggling with his "golden boy image" being ruined. The 43-year-old singer feels that his music and film careers aren't reaching the heights he thought they would be now.

Sources revealed that he is struggling with the poor sales of his sixth album "Everything I Thought It Was," which was released in March.

An insider told Page Six, "The album didn't do too well, and I don't see Justin getting big acting roles right now. I just think Justin has a bad reputation in Hollywood as a bit of a jerk and a pain in the a--."

They also said that the "Mirror" singer's "golden boy image is definitely depleted" with all the negative reports about him over recent years.

Timberlake has had a difficult year as an artist, which is hard to accept for a singer who has won over 10 Grammys and had a successful solo and boy band career.

His most recent album, "Everything I Thought It Was," was Timberlake's first solo release not to attain the number one spot on the charts since 2002.

According to reports, Timberlake's "The Forget Tomorrow World Tour" sales have also been described as "lackluster" by Hollywood insiders.

The source further told the news outlet that there have been many rumors about Timberlake's bad behavior for years, and "maybe the bubble was about to burst, and this was the pin that pricked the bubble."
