“Euphoria” star Zendaya got a major shout out after posting video of her dancing to Queen Beyoncé, because Tina Knowles believes she deserves an Emmy nomination for her work.
Since the HBO show aired its finale last week, the actress decided to post some throwback footage of her and co-star Storm Reid (who plays her younger sister on the show) dancing in a trailer while on set.
Zendaya wrote, “Because there’s no Euphoria tonight...I present your favorite tv sister duo @stormreid”
In the video, Zendaya and Reid are dancing up a storm and rapping along with Beyoncé from the song “APESHT,” which she released with Jay-Z*.
The video posted hours ago and already has racked up over 7 million views, with many celebrities loving it.
Even Reid commented, “I love us."
Singers Chloe and Halle chimed in too, describing the series as "amazing."
The mic drop came when Beyoncé’s own mother, Tina Knowles saw the video and told Zendaya, “I just binge watched the whole season and my-goodness you guys are incredibly great actresses!!!! Both of you !! Zendaya you deserve an Emmy Nomination for that performance !!!!! I was blown away!!!!!!!"
Tina isn’t the only one who thinks Zendaya killed it on “Euphoria” and Drake even recently praised her on the day of the finale.
Zendaya posted about her experience over the past eight weeks as the series became a sensation.
In her post, the actress wrote, “I have a lot to say, and I don’t know how to get it out, or even process these last 8 weeks but I’ll try. I’m so grateful for this show. For the beautiful family I’ve gained from it, for the self discovery and purpose I’ve found in it, and the people that we’ve been able to connect with and speak to through it. We spent months, hard months, pouring ourselves into something we love, and it was an honor to have done so beside so many insanely talented, extraordinary people. "
Drake, who executive produced the show, was quick to respond to the post with emoji hands, praising the actress.
The HBO teen drama was created by Sam Levinson and executive produced by Drake. The show was recently renewed for a second season.
