Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth Separate After Less Than One Year of Marriage

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have broken up and announced that they want to focus on themselves and their careers.

In a statement to PEOPLE, reps for Cyrus say, "Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time."

The statement continues,

"Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

Rumors began to swirl that there was trouble in paradise for the newlyweds after Miley took a photo of herself without her wedding ring on.

"Mute me if you don’t want SPAMMED," the "Cattitude" singer wrote while casually laid back in a chair. Her sister, Brandi obviously knew something was up, and commented, "boooooooooooooom!"

Miley has been on vacation in Capri, Italy ... ironic enough with Brody Jenner's ex-wife, Kaitlynn Carter.

The girls have been taking sexy bikini shots of each other, and even Brody couldn't help but sliding into Carter's IG feed for some praise.

Interesting enough, Miley recently gave a sweet message to Liam on their 10-year anniversary while shooting down rumors of a breakup.

"Happy 10 year anniversary my love. Good to see everyone is as dumb as they were in 2009!" she tweeted.

Adding, "Some things never change .... & I hope the way you feel about me is one of them."

Throughout their entire relationship, Miley and Liam have faced rumors of breaking up. To be fair, they did split a couple of times but it was probably blown out of proportion seeing as they always ended up back in each other's arms.

The two were married at Miley's Nashville home over Christmas during an intimate ceremony.

"It was a really special day. It was pretty much just immediate family," the singer later explained about the nuptials.

She added, "I feel really happy and really fortunate to be with such a great person," while Hemsworth said, "We've been through so much together over the last, ten years, so it felt like it was time.”
