Emily Ratajkowski already shaved her armpits?!
The bikini model was spotted with bald underarms on Thursday, just hours after she bared long hairy armpits and labeled them “sexy” for Harper’s Bazaar.
Ratajkowski was seen sporting a brown polka dot summer dress while walking around Los Angeles and she didn’t try to keep her clean pits a secret.
Instead, she held her arm over her head proudly to show that she made the conscious decision to shave off her long armpit hair.
The actress and women’s rights activist sported some long locks below the neck during a photo shoot for Harper’s Bazaar and chopped the decision up to a female’s right to choose.
In an essay she wrote for the popular high-fashion magazine, she says, “If I decide to shave my armpits or grow them out, that’s up to me.”
“For me, body hair is another opportunity for women to exercise their ability to choose—a choice based on how they want to feel and their associations with having or not having body hair.”
Ratajkowski revealed that she usually tends to shave, but added that “sometimes letting my body hair grow out is what makes me feel sexy.”
Her message was so powerful, it’s interesting she didn’t wait to shave until after the hype from her essay died down — but that’s pretty much her message, right?
A female’s right to choose … which means she can shave any damn time she wants!
Ratajkowski isn’t the only powerful female who’s proud to sport some hairy pits.
Celebrities like Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Gigi Hadid and Halsey have all shaved off social norms by baring long armpit locks.
But Madonna and Julia Roberts were the real OGs of the hairy movement!
