Following the latest episode of "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up," Ryan Anderson is, once again, facing backlash for his actions.

As the episodes air on Lifetime, many fans of Gypsy Rose Blanchard are "beginning to see why she left him," claiming his behavior to be "controlling" and "condescending." As The Blast reported, Gypsy and Ryan separated earlier this year, just three months after she was released on parole. Shortly after announcing their separation, she filed for divorce and requested a restraining order, which she was granted.

The third episode of "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up" aired on Monday, and Ryan Anderson has broken his silence regarding the backlash he has received.

For those who have yet to see the episode, Ryan Anderson and Gypsy Rose Blanchard traveled to New York City for her interviews with "Good Morning America," "The View," and "The Viall Files."

In one scene, Ryan and Gypsy are on their way to the airport after meeting with Gypsy's PO officer to obtain her travel visa. However, the meeting ran longer than expected, so they were running late and were cutting it close to catching their plane.

Ryan and Gypsy got into a fight after Gypsy's PR rep told her they may have to skip checking bags in order to make the flight on time, which did not fly with Ryan.

After seeing how Ryan handled the situation, many took to social media to slam the special education teacher for his behavior.

As the episode aired, many viewers took to social media to express their thoughts on the situation, once again calling Ryan "controlling."

"The more I watch the documentary the more I understand why she left you," one Instagram user said. "You have some serious anger issues. Complete narcissistic tendency with control issues. Serious jealousy as well. I feel sorry for any woman who ends up with you unless you get some major therapy."

"I'm just wondering how come every time when Gypsy talks about her situation you always make it about you. You always say 'us' and 'we.' It's not you... it's her stuff," another wrote.

"He isn’t as nice as he was and is controlling I don’t blame her for leaving him," a third said.

Shortly after the episode aired, Ryan Anderson took to TikTok to address the backlash and explain his side of the story.

"Guys, uh, let me set the record straight on that ride to the airport," he began in the lengthy video. "That was the craziest day. Me and Gypsy were so stressed out that day."

"We had to be at her PO's office at 3:30. The crew didn't pick us up until 3:15, and we were packed and ready to go, and we were stressed already because gypsy HAD to be at this PO meeting. It was her first one," he continued. "So we get there, we make it there right on time, 3:30 boom."

"Our plane left Houston, which is two hours away, it left at like 8:15, something like that. The PO meeting was supposed to be like an hour," Ryan continued to explain. "First off, going into the PO meeting we had to get her travel visa, her travel permit, which we didn't know we had at the time. We thought we could get it, but we weren't sure. They could say no at the last minute, and that would have ruined our whole trip."

In the end, Gypsy was able to get her travel visa, and after two hours with her PO, the couple began their trek to the airport.

Ryan Explains What Happened

The special education teacher also faced backlash for how he treated the Uber driver on their way to the airport, seemingly getting frustrated and acting condescending towards him.

"So she gets in the van, and we start driving at 5:30, and our plane leaves at like 8:20, it takes two hours to get there, and that's through traffic and everything we didn't know if we were going to get to the plane," he explained in his TikTok video.

"[The] Uber driver was a member of the crew, Uber Tom, love you man, that was me and Gypsy's friend," Ryan claimed. "So if I was rude to him, we were just playing. Me and him are cool. Big shout out to Uber Tom, by the way, miss you, brother."

Ryan went on to explain how the trip was stressful, but ultimately, they were able to check their bags and catch their plane.

Not Everyone Turned On Ryan

While many criticized Ryan Anderson for his actions in the third episode of "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up," others defended the special education teacher.

"You owed none of us this explanation. You seem like a really nice guy, I’m sorry she hurt you," one TikToker wrote after listening to Ryan's video.

"You owe no explanation! You’re looking better, too! Keep working on you!!" another said.

"The more stuff comes out, the more you seem very reasonable and respectful. I like that," a third expressed.

Lifetime's docuseries, "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up," airs every Monday.
