Jon Peters, a former producer who worked closely with the singer, has shared the drastic change that she needs to make to get back on track.

Peters claims that Lopez needs to revitalize her career by "selling everything" and releasing a country album.

Ben Affleck is also understood to have been embroiled in an altercation with Jennifer Lopez's team due to some of her recent projects being met with mixed reception.

The "Hustlers" star's career has seemingly suffered amid her rumored marital woes with Affleck.

She faces a race against time to regain her footing in the entertainment world, especially after she was rumored to have canceled her scheduled tour because of poor ticket sales.

In a recent episode of "TMZ Investigates: JLo and Ben: Missed Warning Signs," industry veteran Jon Peters shared a piece of advice that will help her boost her career.

Peters, who worked with Lopez on her 1995 film, "Money Train," said that she needs to pivot into country music if she must do it big.

"Her career needs to change. I told her manager, Benny Medina, she needs to sell everything and move to Nashville and do a country or western album," Peters said on the show, which debuted on Sunday.

"It would be a monster, she'd get every young guy. I [told Benny], 'I'll fund it. You don't even need a record company, I'll put up all the money and we'll own it,'" the Hollywood mogul added.

Elsewhere on the show, Peters also shared his thoughts on what could be the problem in Lopez's rumored marital woes with Affleck.

The "Ain't Your Mama" crooner's marriage with the "Argo" actor is reportedly heading towards divorce as they're understood to be living separately and have placed their $60 million mansion for sale.

"She's a love addict, look at the men she's been with. She can't be alone," he said. "She needs a man in her life, she has never spent any real time developing herself."

TV host and addiction specialist Dr. Drew also shared his thoughts on the topic, explaining that love addiction is very real and can be extremely harmful to a relationship.

"There are actually thousands of people engaged in 12-step programs who identify as love addicted," he shared, per TMZ.

"The features of that include not having great boundaries, they tend to get sucked into relationships readily and easily, they fall hard for people, and once they go in, they can't get themselves out," Dr. Drew added.

According to The Sun, sources close to Lopez revealed that the "Accountant" actor wants Lopez to "overhaul her career," following a string of projects that have been met with below-par ratings.

"Ben feels Jen needs to overhaul her career and have a better team behind her," an insider revealed. "He has butted heads with some members for a while now, and it's caused tension behind the scenes."

"He just wants what's best for her and feels she's doing a lot of mediocre projects and is surrounded by yes people who are also sometimes making decisions for her," the source noted.

A source recently revealed to the Daily Mail that the "Atlas" star is tired of trying to make things work with her husband and now sees that there is nothing "more" she can do to get their marriage back on track.

The source said, "Jenny has had enough and she really tried but she can do no more, it's not getting any better, it's worse."

The insider also shared that Lopez and Affleck "really tried hard" to make their marriage work to no end.

"There is no one to blame here. It just was not in the cards. It is very hard for two massive stars to keep a marriage going, one has to give in, and in this case neither gave in," the source noted.

Lopez shocked many when she canceled her Greatest Hits summer tour weeks before it was scheduled to start in July. The singer shared that she canceled it to spend more time with her family and promised to make it up to fans in no time.

"Representatives for Live Nation announced today that the Jennifer Lopez US Summer 2024 Tour THIS IS ME...LIVE is canceled," a statement shared read. "Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family, and close friends."

The statement continued, "For those who purchased through Ticketmaster, tickets will automatically be refunded – there is nothing further fans need to do."

On Lopez's website, she told fans that she was "completely heartsick and devastated" for letting them down but wouldn't cancel if she didn't "feel that it was absolutely necessary."

"I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time," Lopez added.
