Justin Timberlake Slammed By 'Disappointed' Fans After DWI Arrest: 'You Need Rehab'

Justin Timberlake was recently arrested on a DWI charge after allegedly running a stop sign and swerving on the road in the Hamptons.

The singer was then subjected to a field sobriety test done to test his balance, coordination, and ability to follow instructions, which can be impaired by alcohol or drugs. Unfortunately, Timberlake failed the test and refused to take a breathalyzer test.

He was charged with one count of DWI and freed on Tuesday without posting bail. The "Selfish" singer also received a ticket for driving beyond his lane in traffic and failing to stop at a stop sign.

As stipulated by New York State law, Timberlake would have to pay the fines associated with the citation. He is scheduled to appear in court for the charge hearing on July 26.

Since news of his DWI arrest made headlines, fans have flooded Timberlake's social media accounts with comments regarding the shocking incident.

One person condemned Timberlake, stating, "Great role model for your children...getting arrested for drunk driving."

A source asserted, "It's not a secret. Everyone knows. He has a real drinking problem, a lot of weed — but a major alcohol problem, and he's been hiding and masking it for years."

They expressed concern over Timberlake's struggles with alcohol, suggesting that his issues "got to him" despite efforts to maintain a healthier lifestyle.

The insider added: "It's a real thing, and when you have a drinking problem, it's apparent, yet they've pushed this tour on him, and he's been in a very dark place."

Another source claimed that the singer had abstained from drinking for a significant period leading up to his DWI arrest.

The source indicated that before launching his "Forget Tomorrow World" tour in April, the "Cry Me A River" singer had adopted a healthier lifestyle, which included losing weight and eliminating alcohol from his routine.

Earlier on the same day of his arrest, Timberlake took to Instagram to share an emotional message about his two children, Silas, 9, and Phineas, 3, whom he shares with his wife, Jessica Biel, in honor of Father's Day.

Sharing photos with his kids, the singer wrote, "My 2 greatest gifts. I learn more about myself every day just because you both chose me to be your Daddy."
