Another source noted that Timberlake had abstained from drinking for a period before his DWI arrest on Tuesday.

This source mentioned that the "Mirrors" singer had adopted a healthier lifestyle, shedding weight and eliminating alcohol from his routine before launching his "Forget Tomorrow World" Tour in April.

The first source believes Timberlake's alleged drinking issues "got to him" and that "everyone around him has been enablers."

The insider remarked, "It's a real thing, and when you have a drinking problem, it's apparent, yet they've pushed this tour on him, and he's been a very dark place."

Another source noted that negative media coverage has significantly affected Timberlake.

They stated, "He's been in a dark place," adding that Timberlake was "drinking heavily" when the 2021 New York Times documentary on his ex Britney Spears was released. "He was very concerned about his career and acting. People were genuinely worried about him," the insider concluded.

Timberlake's hidden struggle surfaced when he was arrested for driving while intoxicated shortly after midnight, following a dinner with friends at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor, Long Island.

According to reports, the 43-year-old star appeared glassy-eyed and smelled of alcohol when pulled over for a suspected DWI in the Hamptons.

Sources told TMZ that Timberlake was stopped by police shortly after midnight after blowing past a stop sign. Officers followed him as he swerved on the road, prompting them to pull him over.

The father-of-two performed a field sobriety test but refused a breathalyzer. Despite attempts by friends at the scene to persuade the officers to let him go, Timberlake was handcuffed and arrested. The "SexyBack" singer looked worn out after his arraignment on Tuesday morning,

A source told Daily Mail, "Justin was out to dinner with friends, and there were cop cars stationed outside the restaurant like there are most nights. They look for people leaving after midnight who might have been drinking."
