Meghan Markle Accused Of 'Trying To Steal' Kate Middleton's 'Thunder' With Her Jam & Dog Biscuits

Meghan Markle is being slammed by royal experts who claim that the Duchess of Sussex tried to steal the spotlight from Kate Middleton amid the latter's recent public reappearance.
The "Suits" actress had launched new products through her lifestyle brand. Pictures of them posted by a friend went viral before the Princess of Wales appeared with her family for the Trooping the Colour celebration.
The photos, which polo player Nacho Figueras shared, quickly raised questions about whether it was just a coincidence or whether Meghan Markle had planned to "upstage" Kate Middleton.
Royal Expert Says 'Everyone Is Fed Up' With The Sussexes And Their 'Antics'
In an interview with TMZ, royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti accused Meghan of trying to put herself in the spotlight on the same weekend Kate made her royal comeback since she was diagnosed with cancer.
A friend of the former actress posted photos of a new jam flavor and dog biscuits associated with her brand, American Riviera Orchard, on Instagram. The move to unveil the new products quickly got many talking about the timing, with several refusing to believe it was coincidental.
According to Sacerdooti, it just shows that "everyone is tired of Meghan and Harry and their antics" and that it was "predicted" that the duo "might try and do something that would steal the thunder of the royal family."
He went on to mock Meghan and her brand, adding that all the attention should be on Kate's return and the "real" royals.
Sacerdoti continued, "I think we're all tired of it. Let's let's just focus back on the Real Royals, on Kate, what she's been doing,... It was wonderful to see Katherine back with the kids and with the family."
Meghan Markle's Product Release Coincided With The Trooping The Colour
Meghan's product launch went viral following a post of the items from her close friend Nacho Figueras.
The professional polo player shared a picture on his Instagram Story featuring the raspberry version of Meghan's new jam along with the newly launched dog biscuits.
Both items, which appeared to be PR gifts given to Figueras, came in glass jars with wooden covers and nude-colored ribbons tied around them.
His post coincided with the Trooping the Colour event in honor of King Charles and, according to reports, was shared a few hours before it began.
Kate attended the event with her husband, Prince William, and their children. Unsurprisingly, Harry and Meghan were not present, having been absent from most royal events since stepping down from their royal roles in 2020.
Fans Slammed Nachos Figueras and Meghan Markle After Viral Photo Of Brand Products
According to the Daily Mail, royal fans weren't pleased with the product launch and vented their anger at the duchess and her friend Figueras.
One person wrote sternly, "We won't forget what you did Nacho @nachofigueras Attempting to upstage Catherine POW whilst she's battling cancer is the lowest of the low & demonstrates a lack of class & integrity."
A second user commented, "@nachofigueras SHAME on you. Prepare yourself for a downward fall, you too will be 'Markled' very soon & will curse the day you met MM or got involved with her evil ways. We can't wait."
Someone else commented, "The advertising of jam on the day of TOTC was so obvious, embarrassing and cringe. The attempt to overshadow Catherine's return failed, she broke the internet & mainstream media with her beauty & grace! Do better, jealousy is a wasted emotion."
One more person remarked, "How desperate was Meghan when she asked @nachofigueras to post this new jam and biscuits? On the day of the Trooping the Colour and Princess Catherine's return to public life? How pathetic of Nacho to oblige. The jealousy is embarrassing."
Kate Middleton's Reappearance Is 'Timely' For Royal Family
Kate attended the event wearing a white outfit and had a huge smile on her face as she waved to the crowd with her family by her side.
According to experts, her return "was a timely and extremely beneficial show of unity for the monarchy after a very difficult few months."
"The images will go worldwide and will be extremely positive and be beneficial for the institution," said Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal commentator, per Insider.
"The late Queen used to say, 'I must be seen to be believed,' and it was most important that we saw Catherine on this occasion," Fitzwilliams added.
Kate Middleton Spoke On Her Health Struggles In A Personal Statement
Royal fans can expect to see Kate attend more engagements over the summer. However, the Princess of Wales has admitted she is "not out of the woods yet," suggesting that her future appearance at such events does not signify a full return to her royal duties.
In a statement shared on social media, she noted, "My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home."
She also revealed her excitement about attending the King's birthday parade at the time, adding, "I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal."
She concluded, "Thank you so much for your continued understanding and to all of you who have so bravely shared your stories with me."
