Prince Harry's departure from the royal family has sparked speculation among royal experts, as many claim that the Duke of Sussex feels unhappy about missing the Trooping the Colour ceremony.
He and his wife, Meghan Markle, have now missed the event twice in a role, and he's reportedly regretting his decision to step back from his royal duties.
Prince Harry is understood to be missing his old life and friends and is reportedly looking to secure a permanent home in the UK ahead of a potential return.
Prince Harry Allegedly Regrets Not Being At The Trooping The Colour Event
Harry is reportedly regretting his decision to step down from his royal role, particularly as he has now missed out on cherished traditions like the recently-held Trooping the Colour ceremony.
The annual military parade is held to celebrate the birthday of King Charles III, and Harry and Meghan have now been snubbed twice in a row.
According to The Sun, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams shared that the Duke feels contrite about his exit, although Meghan doesn't share the same feelings.
"The military has been a very important part of his life, and I would have thought it only natural that he would have had a feeling of some regret [not being at Trooping the Colour]," he shared. "I think Meghan would be indifferent to a ceremony like Trooping the Colour, quite frankly."
"I have no idea whether she would or wouldn't actually watch it, but I don't think it would mean a great deal to her," he continued. "If it had done, she would have managed to carve a position within the Royal Family where she could have been of use."
The Royal Expert Blames Prince Harry & Meghan Markle's Exit
Fitzwilliams, during his chat with the news outlet, blamed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for the manner in which they left the royal family.
The couple stepped down from their senior working roles in 2020, and they would later make serious allegations against the royal family, accusing them of racism, among other claims.
"I think when it comes to military matters, Harry has always taken an interest," the expert noted. "I think that he does unquestionably view the way the break has occurred with the Royal Family. Which, as I say, in my opinion, is the fault of the Sussexes."
He added, "We know they wanted an apology from the Royal Family for the way they were treated when they were senior working members of it."
Prince Harry Wants A Permanent UK Home
Reports suggest Harry is missing his old life and friends as rumors of a potential return to his home country begin to pick up steam.
Royal expert Tom Quinn told The Mirror that Harry is now looking for a UK home following their permanent eviction from their Frogmore Cottage residence, which they called home before leaving the UK for California.
Quinn noted that he wants to remain in touch with his friends back home, as they've reportedly refused to visit him in his Montecito mansion because they don't get on well with Meghan.
"As time goes by, Harry misses some aspects of his old life in the UK. Inevitably, the honeymoon period where everything in the States is new and exciting is coming to an end and Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles," Quinn shared.
He added, "He misses his Old Etonian and army friends, many of whom have not visited as they don't get on with Meghan. Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he's continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security."
The Sussexes Are Allegedly Losing Friends In Hollywood
Harry and Meghan's exit from the royal family is now coming with a social cost, as a source shared that they've started losing their Hollywood friends.
During a chat with Closer! Paul Burrell, who served as butler to the late Princess Diana, claimed that the couple are finding themselves increasingly isolated from the A-list acquaintances and are now being isolated.
"Harry and Meghan's circle is getting smaller and smaller. I think the A-list stars are dropping like flies," Burrell shared. "Some already have done - Oprah no longer seems involved with them and some other celebrities have also dropped them."
"Back in the day, the A-listers were riding on the moment - Harry and Meghan were the most popular couple in the country at one time when they got married, but there's since been a decline," the former royal staff continued.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Are No Longer The 'Main Event'
Burrell further claimed that Americans "love the royal family" and realize that Harry and Meghan are a "sideshow." He said Hollywood is bored with the couple and is now seeking the "main event."
Although he admitted that Harry and Meghan were once the "most popular couple" in America, they've not managed to maintain that status and have now suffered being snubbed by a couple of A-listers.
"Back in the day, the A-listers were riding on the moment - Harry and Meghan were the most popular couple in the country at one time when they got married, but there's since been a decline," the former royal staff said.
