Nina Dobrev has revealed she underwent knee surgery after a dirt biking accident that left her in a neck brace. According to the actress, amid her recovery, she enjoys watching "Fargo," cuddling her pets and taking leg selfies.
In a January interview, Dobrev shared that she and White keep their relationship fresh by taking turns planning weekly date nights.

On a recent episode of "The Talk," Dobrev opened up about the biking accident that led to her undergoing surgery, revealing that it was her "first time actually leaving the house in over two months."
"I had knee surgery; I got a giant brace. I can't really walk on my own yet...I had a fractured knee as well as ACL repair and meniscus," she said, per People Magazine.
When asked about the cause of her injury, the 35-year-old explained that she was "dirt biking for the first time, and it did not go well."
Dobrev recalled her experience: "I don't recommend it, guys. It's okay, I learned a lesson, don't ever get on a dirt bike. I was in a wheely, lost control, whisky throttled, bike flew."
She added: "Luckily, it didn't fall on me, which is what the doctor said would have been a lot worse. But when I landed, I landed on one leg, straight, and my knee just like snapped."

Dobrev expressed her joy at finally leaving the house and having "an excuse to get dolled up" during her interview.
The "Vampire Diaries" alum mentioned that her recovery routine has involved taking numerous leg selfies and cuddling with her pets.
"Cuddle puddle is my life these days, it's just the puppies, and at home watching movies, physical therapy, eating, sleep, or peeing is kind of the schedule," she said.
Dobrev also mentioned that she's been using her recovery time to binge-watch "Fargo," adding: "Fargo is what I'm watching currently. I called my agents. I love it, so I'm so obsessed with the show, and I was like, 'You have to get me on this show.' And they're like,' That's from a decade ago, you're too late.' "
She also discussed an Instagram video she posted in early June featuring her boyfriend, Shaun White, dancing in a white "The Vampire Diaries" sweater.
"You know, when you can't leave your bedroom, you either watch TV or you have live entertainment. That's my live entertainment," she joked, per People.
Nina Dobrev Shares Recovery Journey From Biking Accident
Dobrev first revealed her biking accident in an Instagram post on Monday, May 20. The post featured a photo of her next to a bicycle and another of her in a hospital bed, captioned, "How it started vs how it's going."
In her Instagram Stories, the "Originals" actress shared a selfie from her hospital bed along with a message: "I'm ok but it's going to be a long road of recovery ahead."
Several of Dobrev's TVD co-stars left encouraging messages in the comment section of her post. Kayla Ewell wrote, "Making the hospital gown the new spring trend. Love you! Handling it like a champ!" Claire Holt commented, "No, so sorry! Feel better."
Dobrev's longtime boyfriend, Shaun White, also showed his support and posted a photo on his Instagram Stories of Dobrev on a private plane after her release from hospital, her leg elevated and her knee in a brace, tagging her and adding three red hearts to the photo.

Dobrev's accident came after White praised her snowboarding abilities in an interview with E! News.
Speaking to the news outlet, white gushed over how good his girlfriend is, noting, "She's really good on the board.
He added, "She grew up in Canada. So, it was nice 'cause that's definitely sometimes a relationship make-or-break. Not if they can't ride, but I've had people come up with me and it didn't end well 'cause I'm not the best coach at times."
Nina Dobrev Reveals How She and Shaun White Keep Their Romance Exciting With Weekly Date Nights
In a January interview with People, Dobrev discussed how she and her boyfriend, White, keep their relationship fresh by having a weekly date night.
The "Bricklayer" star shared that she and the former professional snowboarder and skateboarder take turns planning their date nights.
"In general, I'm more of a planner in life. Yeah, I like a schedule and I like a plan for sure. I'm a Capricorn, so that's very much part of my personality," she explained. "But, we implemented something, I think, it's really cool. We do date night every week and we alternate [planning]."
She continued, "So, one week I'll plan it and he won't have any idea what we're doing so it's a surprise for him. And then the following week, he'll plan and it'll be a complete surprise for me. And we do that every single week."
The "Outlaws" actress added that this approach "keeps things sort of exciting and interesting and dedicates time for the two of us to spend together."
