During a virtual appearance on media personality Elle Bee's YouTube channel, Portwood admitted she was concerned about her missing fiancé. "This is a huge deal, his parents; everybody is very worried. I am worried," she lamented.
"There was not a big blowout fight or anything like that, OK? He is a missing person right now," Portwood continued about Wayt. She stressed that the police were aware of the situation and what happened before he suddenly disappeared.
According to the MTV star, her fiancé left the North Carolina residence they were staying at without his phone but took his keys and wallet. He was later spotted alone at Walgreens on Sunday; however, Portwood feared he had gotten lost without a GPS in his car to guide him.
The topic naturally got Portwood emotional, unable to fight back the tears while saying: "We are in the mountains. He has never driven in the mountains. We are very scared right now."
Portwood Hasn't Been Well Without Her Fiancé
Portwood confessed that she had not been the same without Wayt and found it challenging to care for herself without knowing where he was or how he was doing. In her words:
"Nobody has found or heard from him yet. I'm trying my best to not think the worst. I have not eaten [sic] in three days. I slept maybe an hour."
Portwood doubled down on her amicable relationship with Wayt, assuring fans that she did not influence his disappearance from home. Her words refuted the claims that the pair had gotten into an "explosive argument" before he left.
The reality TV star seemingly referenced past reports about her attacking her ex-boyfriend with a machete, saying: "I am not what people have been saying about me all of these years."

Although Portwood noted that she was not the person described in past rumors, she seemingly implied there was some truth to her past behavior, claiming:
"I changed a long time ago, OK, you have to understand this. Please listen to what I am saying; I am an honest person to you guys."
"We have not had explosive fights. We are very in love. This man asked me to be with him, this man then asked me to marry him," she continued about her relationship with Wayt, adding:
"I have not touched this man in any horrible way. He does not touch me in any horrible way. We do not yell at each other … Please understand this, people change."
While the couple did not have an alleged "explosive fight," Portwood confirmed they had an "emotional" conversation about "his parents being Vietnamese" and about who she is. However, she refused to share further details about their discussion.

He was scheduled to return home on Monday, but according to The Smoky Mountain Times, no one has seen him since.

BCPD Chief Charlie Robinson revealed that Portwood's fiancé has been entered into the national database for missing persons. Wayt was described as a 39-year-old man from Indianapolis of Asian descent, 6'1, and weighs 205 pounds.
His features also included a bald head and brown eyes. Meanwhile, the details of his disappearance stated he went missing from Bryson City and was last seen around 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, at a rental cabin on Arlington Avenue.
Robinson noted that his department was doing everything possible to find Wayt, including communicating with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and Swain County Sheriff's Office for assistance.
The BCPD Chief said that no foul play was being suspected at the time, adding that the situation looked like Wayt got into his vehicle and drove off.
