Billy Ray Cyrus Claims He Entered Marriage To Wife Firerose 'Based On Fraud' By Her Amid Split

Recent reports have surfaced, revealing the reasons behind Billy Ray Cyrus' filing for an annulment of his marriage to Firerose.

The singer claimed that his marriage was entered into based on fraudulent reasons that he had no idea about.

The split marks the end of Billy Ray Cyrus' third marriage and comes within a year of him tying the knot to Firerose.

Billy Ray and Firerose shocked the world barely 24 hours ago when news spread that the two were ending their marriage.

According to reports, Billy Ray pushed for the annulment, although it was unclear why he did so at the time.

Now, court documents obtained by E! News have revealed that the singer cited "irreconcilable differences" and "inappropriate marital conduct" when he filed the papers.

He also claimed that the marriage was entered into "based on fraud by the wife," adding that "he would not have entered into the bonds of matrimony" if he had prior knowledge.

Although it is still unknown what fraudulent act Billy Ray was referencing, it could cover various possibilities, including but not limited to misrepresentation of identity, financial status, criminal history, or intentions concerning the marriage.

Both parties have also refrained from publicly addressing their split, hinting that they are keen on keeping it private.

According to TMZ, Billy Ray is against Firerose staying in their home while the divorce process is being worked out.

The singer reportedly asked his Australian wife to leave the residence by May 24, just two days after the separation date stated in court documents.

Whether Firerose complied with this request remains uncertain. However, it was indicated that Billy Ray was prepared to cover her lodging expenses at a rate of $500 per night in any hotel of her choice if she left.

Per the outlet, this arrangement wasn't intended to be long-term but rather for a period of ten days, which he seems to believe would be enough time for Firerose to secure a more permanent accommodation.

Additionally, he expressed a willingness to contribute $5,000 monthly towards her home expenses, paid for over 90 days or sooner if their divorce is finalized before that time.

In 2010, Billy Ray met Firerose on the set of his daughter Miley Cyrus's Disney show "Hannah Montana," after which they became friends and stayed in touch.

In 2021, they reunited to collaborate on music, a move Billy Ray later described in an exclusive with People magazine as a pivotal moment in their relationship.

He told the outlet, "When we began sharing the music, it just evolved more into, as musical soulmates, to soulmates, happy, pure love that to me, I didn't know could exist."

Before Billy Ray married Firerose,  he had been married twice to  Cindy Smith from 1986 until 1991 and to Tish Cyrus for three decades. Billy Ray and Tish had three kids together: Miley, Braison, and Noah.

In August 2022, Billy Ray and Firerose subtly announced their engagement with a cute Instagram post flaunting Firerose's stunning ring. 

According to a source from People magazine, "They've been dating for a little while and grew close while working on music together. It is what it is. He and Tish were over before he started dating her."

In an interview, Firerose opened up about Billy Ray's proposal, saying he looked at her and asked, "Do you, do you wanna marry me?' And I was just like, 'Of course I do. I love you.'" Billy replied by saying, "I love you. I want to make this official. I wanna be with you forever."

After reports of the couple's breakup surfaced, Billy Ray was slammed by several online users.

He was accused of allowing his marriage to Tish to fail and damaging his relationship with his children to pursue a relationship with Firerose, only for their newly formed union to end up being short-lived.

An individual asked, "You mean you uprooted the lives of your whole family to marry a girl (who's around the same age as your daughter) that you met on the set of YOUR DAUGHTER'S SHOW & it didn't work out?"

A second person wrote, "Ruined his relationship with his kids for seven months of marriage, i have to laugh."
