Meghan Markle allegedly has one "condition" that her husband, Prince Harry, must agree to if she is to make her return to the UK.

The Duchess of Sussex reportedly wants a place of their own to stay, as well as ample security for her to make the trip across the pond.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lived in their Frogmore Cottage residence in Windsor until 2020, when they stepped down as senior working royals. Subsequently, they relocated to America, where they currently live with their children.

According to The Mirror, the Duchess of Sussex has expressed constraints as regards a potential return to the UK, stating a "major condition" that Prince Harry must fulfill if she's to make the trip.

Although Harry has returned to the UK twice this year — to see his ailing father and for an Invictus Games event — Meghan has not touched UK soil since attending the late Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in 2022.

The couple previously lived in their Frogmore Cottage home in Windsor before leaving their senior working royals and relocating abroad.

Royal expert Tom Quinn has now shared that she'll only return to the country if the Duke of Sussex can find a place of their own and provide appropriate security details.

"Meghan has said she's only prepared to return to England if she and Harry have a place of their own and the security they both feel is essential. Meghan will never return to the UK and stay with her husband's relatives," Quinn told the news outlet.

"If the couple manage to find a permanent home and sort out the security issue they will certainly want to bring their children to the UK, but it's going to take a lot of diplomacy to get to the point where Archie and Lili are able to develop a genuine and warm relationship with their cousins George, Charlotte and Louis," the royal expert added.

The Duke Is Looking For A 'Permanent' Home In The UK

Meghan's "major condition" comes as Harry is believed to be searching for a permanent home in the UK.

Quinn previously told the news outlet that Harry's search is driven by the fact that he is missing his old life and "army friends."

"As time goes by, Harry misses some aspects of his old life in the UK. Inevitably, the honeymoon period where everything in the States is new and exciting is coming to an end and Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles," Quinn shared.

He added, "He misses his Old Etonian and army friends, many of whom have not visited as they don't get on with Meghan. Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he's continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security."

Prince Harry Wins Right To Appeal Security Ruling

It remains to be seen if the former "Suits" actress would return to the UK as her given "condition" is seemingly not far-fetched.

Meghan's request for appropriate security in the UK also comes after Harry won the right to appeal a High Court ruling that supported the downgrading of his security protocol when he's in the country, per the BBC.

Like other senior royals, the couple received taxpayer-funded security protection when they were working members of the royal family, but the Royal and VIP Executive Committee (Ravec) downgraded their police protection after they resigned from their duty.

Harry sued the Home Office in 2020 over their decision, but the High Court dismissed his case in February, ruling that Ravec's decision was "legally sound."

Prince Harry's Friends Allegedly Don't Get Along With Meghan Markle

As Harry seeks to reunite with his old life, one part of his life Meghan would reportedly need to pay attention to is her relationship with his friends.

According to the Daily Mail, royal expert Richard Eden disclosed that Harry's friends didn't quite get along with Meghan when they first met due to differences in opinions and values.

The pair further fueled the speculations by missing out on Hugh Grosvenor's wedding to Olivia Henson at Chester Cathedral last week. Grosvenor is Harry's oldest friend and godfather to their son, Prince Archie.

Eden further noted that Harry and Meghan's absence from Grosvenor's wedding shouldn't come as a surprise because of the alleged rift between Meghan and the Duke's friends, as they found it difficult to agree with the "politically correct Californian."

"When Prince Harry started introducing new girlfriend Meghan Markle to his closest pals back in 2017, not all of them warmed to the American actress," Eden claimed.

"Harry's friends, after all, tend to be country sports enthusiasts with an earthy sense of humor, while Meghan is a politically correct Californian who practices yoga when she's not sipping green smoothies or nibbling avocado on toast," the royal expert added.
