Selena Gomez made instant headlines for her mirror selfie as she showed off stunning bikini curves in July 2021. Stunning the camera as she modeled a skimpy two-piece from her La'Mariette collab on Instagram, the 31-year-old turned heads for showing off blonde locks, but for many, the real treat was seeing the "Wolves" singer confidently highlighting her figure. Without a Photoshop wand in sight, Selena stripped down to a stringy, multicolored bikini with pops of orange and purple, and it looks like Cosmo thought that she "understood the assignment."

Modeling a two-piece from the four-piece range she retailed for between $49 and $119, Selena Gomez reminded fans that not all celebrities walk around in $400 swimsuits, although it looks like this one never goes without her many makeup brushes. Posing from a daylit room as a countertop in front of her showed tons of makeup accessories, the Rare Beauty founder dazzled as she flaunted her trim hips and shapely waistline, wearing her dyed blonde hair down as she glowed in warming makeup complete with a rosy lip.

Showing off a funky green manicure as fans also saw her phone plugged in and charging, Selena sent out her signature, girl-next-door charm, but those curves were turning up the heat. When Cosmocovered the Instagram post, it wrote: "She understood the assignment," throwing in tons of clapping emoji.

Of the capsule swimwear collection she created with former manager Theresa Mingus and business partner Morgan Brutocao, Selena stated: "It was really fun for us to play around with creating swimsuits because Theresa, Morgan, and I love being outside so much,” adding: “After going through swatches, my favorite color was purple. I wanted to stay away from colors I’m used to like red and white. Purple felt different for me and we added pops of color like green and neons here and there."

Selena received mass support in January for addressing her fluctuating weight on social media. Sharing side-by-side bikini photos taken a decade apart, she told fans that she would never "look like this again." Selena separately confirmed that her weight changes are due to the medication she takes to manage her Lupus condition.
