Donald Trump Is 'Surprised' Taylor Swift Was 'Successful' In Country Music While 'Being Liberal'

Former President Donald Trump seems to find Grammy Award-winning pop star Taylor Swift "unusually beautiful."

In a new "Apprentice" book, Trump repeatedly calls Swift "beautiful" while expressing how shocked he is that she became a "successful" country star while "being liberal."

This won't be the first time Trump would speak about Swift, as he has previously claimed she would not vote for Biden because the president has not done "anything for musical artists."

Donald Trump is presently awaiting sentencing after being found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records in his New York hush money trial.

Trump might have a secret crush on singer Swift if his comments about her in his new book are anything to go by.

According to Variety, Trump called Swift "beautiful" and "talented" after being questioned by the writer of the new book, "Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass."

The book, written by Ramin Setoodeh, takes an in-depth look at Trump's days on reality TV when he hosted "The Apprentice."

While speaking about Swift, the ex-president said, "I think she's beautiful — very beautiful! I find her very beautiful. I think she's liberal. She probably doesn't like Trump. I hear she's very talented,"

He added, "I think she's very beautiful, actually — unusually beautiful!"

During his chat with Setoodeh for the new book, Trump discussed Swift's seemingly "liberal" political stance, questioning how she made it in country music despite her views.

Trump asked, "She is liberal, or is that just an act?" He added, "She's legitimately liberal? It's not an act? It surprises me that a country star can be successful being liberal."

In the past, Swift has spoken out against Trump and once condemned comments made by the ex-president regarding protesters in 2020.

The singer tweeted at the time: "After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? 'When the looting starts the shooting starts'??? We will vote you out in November."

In 2018, Swift shocked many when she broke her political silence to slam Senator Marsha Blackburn, noting that she was "appalled" by her voting record in Congress.

She said at the time on Instagram, "In the past I've been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now."

"I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the human rights I believe we all deserve in this country," she added, per Variety.

In her 2020 "Miss Americana" documentary, Swift opened up about her reason for speaking about politics. She noted that she had found the power of her voice and why it is necessary to address such important matters.

"Back in the [2016] presidential election, I was in such a horrendous place that I wasn't going to pop my head out," Swift stated.

"These aren't your dad's celebrities, and these aren't your dad's Republicans… I need to be on the right side of history," she added.

That year, Swift supported Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' presidential campaign.

Earlier this year, Trump took to Truth Social to state how much he helped "musical artists" during his presidency, claiming that Biden had done nothing for Swift.

He wrote: "I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn't do anything for Taylor and never will."

"There's no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money," Trump added.

Despite political differences, Trump expressed admiration for the singer's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, noting: "Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal and probably can't stand me!"
