Dr. Michael Mosley, 67, was last seen on Wednesday after he left Agios Nikolaos beach to set off on a walk at about 1:30 local time.
A search and rescue mission continued over the last few days for the TV doctor and journalist, who disappeared while vacationing on the Greek island of Symi.
On Sunday, a body was found during the search for Dr. Michael Mosley, who is known for "The Human Face" (2001), "Leonardo" (2003), and "Pompeii: The Last Day" (2003).
Dr. Michael Mosley Goes Missing
These CCTV images bear a striking resemblance to a photo of Michael Mosley taken earlier in the day. Not just the cap, but the white socks and, crucially, the detail on the shorts. Even the timing matches when he should have arrived in Pedi. It seems he made it this far pic.twitter.com/rbPBDf9nJa

After Dr. Michael Mosley went missing, CCTV footage from a restaurant in the village of Pedi was released, confirming that the television producer arrived roughly 20 minutes after leaving the beach, per The Guardian.
“We now know that he made it to the other side of the path,” an officer noted earlier this week, per the outlet. “But in some ways the mystery has only deepened. Now we have to ask where did he go from there and if he took another unexpected route [to the port town] did he slip and fall? We’re still no nearer to solving this.”
“The image is now one of many that we now have of the Briton in Pedi,” the police officer added. “There are others that show him clearly heading towards a path that would lead him to the port town. They will help us narrow our search, but in no way do they solve this mystery.”

A popular walk in Symi is to the Life Giving Fountain Monastery, which is an easy road walk.
Attempting it from the Kamares cafe (where Dr Michael Mosley was alledgedly last spotted) is difficult.

According to the Associated Press, the Mayor of Symi, Lefteris Papakalodoukas, was on a boat with members of the media when they discovered a body above the beach in Agia Marina around 10 a.m. local time.
“We zoomed with the cameras and saw it was him,” he told the outlet. The Mayor said he recognized his blue shirt from the last pictures of him captured on security cameras.
A police officer told BBC News that the deceased had been dead "for a number of days."

While the police have yet to release the identity of the body, Dr. Michael Mosley's wife, Dr. Clare Bailey Mosley, seemingly confirmed the body to be that of the television producer.
"It’s devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind, and brilliant husband," Dr. Clare Bailey Mosley said in a statement after the body was found, per BBC. "We had an incredibly lucky life together. We loved each other very much and were so happy together."
"We’re taking comfort in the fact that he so very nearly made it," his wife added. "He did an incredible climb, took the wrong route, and collapsed where he couldn’t be easily seen by the extensive search team."
"Michael was an adventurous man, it’s part of what made him so special," she said of Dr. Michael Mosley.

Before his body was found, Dr. Michael Mosley's wife told The Sunday Times, “It has been three days since Michael left the beach to go for a walk. The longest and most unbearable days for myself and my children.”
More than 100 rescuers were involved in the search, per the outlet.
