Cardi B is publicly addressing the situation where she was forced to cancel her concert at the last minute because of a safety threat and her reason is simple, she's not taking chances because she's a new mother.
Cardi went live on Instagram Wednesday and spoke openly about the reason for canceling and she made it clear, she is now a mother and when she learned there was some sort of threat she wasn't taking a chance.
"B**** I'm a mother," the "Bodak Yellow" rapper said directly.
She went through how she was notified of the threat when she landed in Indiana and did rehearsal/sound check. Her security, who she showed in the live broadcast, then informed her there was a threat to her safety.

Interestingly, we broke the story about the threat to Cardi and subsequent evacuation of the venue, but the police released a statement later in the evening stating that the threat was "to the artist" and there was no investigation at all.
But, Cardi was clear, her team did not know whether or not the threat was to her or the venue, but either way she wasn't hanging around to find out.

The rapper mentioned "massive shooting stuff" in her story seemingly to explain that may have been the threat.
Finally, she did say she understood fans who were bitter she cancelled the show, but was clear that she didn't feel safe in the state and got out immediately.
Cardi is currently flying to Virginia for a show tonight.

As we reported, a threat was made to Cardi B's safety and she made the call to scrap the performance.
The postponement was announced about 30 minutes before the concert was set to begin, and fans were upset over the last minute change. "20 minutes before the show was supposed to start tonight and you CANCEL!!! Come on now," one angry fan tweeted.
Some believed the fact Cardi sat down with Bernie Sanders on Monday for a political discussion and the debates of the Democratic party presidential candidates went down last night was the reason for the threat.
