On Thursday's episode of "The Kelly Clarkson Show," the "Behind These Hazel Eyes" artist revealed that one of Jon Bon Jovi's hit songs "almost killed [her]."

To celebrate 40 years of Bon Jovi, she planned to sing "Blaze of Glory," but she "almost dies" trying.

"Not even 'cause I can't sing it. I just can't read, whatever," she said in a blooper clip shared to her YouTube page. "I grew up on that song. I know that song, but in my rehearsal, I messed it up like a gazillion times."

She added, "Not even 'cause I wasn't hitting the notes. I just couldn't read. I just kept saying the wrong words. It got so ridiculous I had to let it go like Elsa just for a minute, and then I had someone come rescue me."

Kelly Clarkson disclosed that after winning "American Idol," celebrities initially treated her poorly due to her association with the show.

“Everything was happening in a whirlwind, and people were really mean to us because we’re from a talent show, and it was the first season,” she admitted during a January 2021 episode of her talk show, per US Magazine. “Everyone was so rude to us, like, on the [red] carpet, at [an awards] show … it was a horrible experience.”

She previously spoke on the struggles of Hollywood in 2019, telling US Weekly, “The first three years of my career was me just paying for winning a talent show. I got real bitter. I was just looking for anyone to talk to who knew what I was going through.”

Kelly Clarkson found love with Brandon Blackstock, whom she wed in 2013. The couple shared a daughter, River, and a son, Remington.

In 2020, she filed for divorce, something that she struggled with.

“I am a very open person, but I’m not going to be able to be truly open about this in certain aspects because there’s kids involved,” she told the Los Angeles Times in September 2020. “I think that I will navigate a way in which to be open and honest about it eventually, probably via ['The Kelly Clarkson Show'], and it’ll probably, I’m assuming, happen organically when someone says something in conversation or something."

"It definitely wouldn’t be planned," she continued. "There are a lot of little hearts involved in this and while people feel, ‘Oh, my gosh, what a loss,’ imagine how it is in the epicenter of the storm. It’s a lot to process and deal with, just as a family. So because it’s not just me, I probably won’t go too deep with it.”

Following her divorce, Kelly Clarkson admitted that it is hard to "start over," especially when you "think you're going to spend the rest of your life with somebody, and you don't."

Furthermore, Clarkson said she "[hasn't] even thought about" jumping back into the dating pool.

"Not that I'm against it. I'm not like bitter or, ‘Oh, I'm still broken.' I'm not mad at all. I'm very happy. I'm in a great place," she told E! News in July 2023. "But you know, I've lost a bit of me, like in my previous relationship and I love having her back."
