Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ryan Anderson announced their separation earlier this year, just three months after she was released from prison on parole.

As The Blast previously reported, the two married in a prison ceremony in July 2022. The 32-year-old was serving her 10-year sentence for her role in her mother's murder, who is believed to have suffered from a psychological disorder called Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

Her story was told in the 2017 documentary "Mommy Dead & Dearest," which is how Ryan learned of Gypsy. While the two got engaged and married within a year, they called it off in March 2024.

Following her divorce from Ryan Anderson, Gypsy Rose Blanchard has opened up, revealing how the split has affected her.

A few weeks after announcing their separation, Gypsy Rose Blanchard confirmed that divorce papers were filled.

"The filing has been sent to the assigned Judge for review and to schedule any hearing dates if necessary," Annette M. Fontana, Lafourche Parish Clerk of the Court, said in April 2024, per PEOPLE Magazine.

The divorce has seemingly been messy, with accusations about Ryan Anderson's behavior towards Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

Some claim he was controlling and jealous, something that made Gypsy feel as though she was back where she was with her mom, who abused the 32-year-old for her entire childhood by fabricating illnesses and disorders to keep control over Gypsy's life.

"Gypsy Rose Blanchard has openly shared her life with Lifetime and our cameras from the moment she was paroled. Her story, including her relationship with Ryan, will continue to unfold on 'Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up,' debuting this June on Lifetime," the network said of the new docuseries.

The first episode is streaming now, with new episodes released every Monday.

After separating from Ryan Anderson, Gypsy Rose Blanchard was spotted with her ex-fiancé Ken Urker. While the two claimed to be just friends, it was later revealed that they have rekindled their relationship and are officially an item.

"After reconnecting earlier this month, we realized that our love for each other is simply undeniable, and life is too short to not take a chance," she told TMZ at the end of April. "We have a history that made for the perfect foundation for a new beginning."

She also spoke to E! News, explaining, "It wasn't until I filed for divorce that I kind of really realized that that spark, that connection [with Ken] is even better than I expected and we've grown a lot. I've matured. He's grown. And so I think right now is the time in our lives that it's the right time, right place, right everything."

The two first met a few years ago after he and the ex-convict exchanged letters through a prison pen pal program. They got engaged in October 2018 but called it off in the summer of 2019.
