While Gypsy Rose Blanchard can't give too much away regarding her conversation with Kim Kardashian, she did tell the outlet that prison reform was a topic of discussion.

"It's something that I have a lot of opinions about, and so, her taking the time to kind of hear me out on that was definitely kind of her because I have been on that side of things, and she's a very influential person, so it was something that was a positive experience," she told Entertainment Tonight.

It's Time To Be An Advocate

After being released from prison, Gypsy Rose Blanchard said she wanted to raise awareness and be an advocate for Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

“Ever since my case was all over the media, all over the news, people have been on this journey with me, and I think that I’ve outgrown this prison version of myself that I think a lot of people have come to associate me with,” she says in "The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard," per The Hollywood Reporter.

Munchausen by proxy, is a mental health condition and a form of child abuse where a caregiver intentionally creates the appearance of health problems in a person under their care. As The Blast previously reported, Gypsy's mom, Clauddine 'Dee Dee' Blanchard, fabricated many illnesses and disorders and convinced doctors to prescribe unnecessary medications and perform surgeries on Gypsy that she didn't need.

“I want to be Gypsy Rose Blanchard, a survivor, an advocate for people that have been through what I have been through, and I want to be someone that my family could be proud of," she told the outlet.

Starting A New Chapter

Gypsy Rose Blanchard also opened up about the "new chapter" she is starting in her life following eight and a half years behind bars.

"I’m about to head into a new chapter in my life, a new look, a new me, new style, new everything," the ex-convict told the outlet. "So I think that showing people and taking them on that journey with me was important for me because you get little bits and pieces of what my life has been like in the last five months from articles online, TikTok videos, social media, little bits here and there. But no one gets to actually be in the room with me except for my family."

"So having the cameras follow me basically on a daily basis shows the events that people were hearing about all this time, but they don’t know what all was said. This definitely brings the viewers along in a very intimate way. And for me that was important to show, no, this is who I am," she concluded.
