Adam Krueger knows how to captivate an audience while giving the weather report.
The chief meteorologist for CW39 Houston is known for making his weather reports fun. He first started out by sneaking the daily Wordle into his reports but then switched it up by adding popular song lyrics.
Krueger, known as @weatheradam on TikTok, recently joined the Drake and Kendrick Lamar rap drama by sneaking some of Lamar's lyrics to "Not Like Us" into his weather report and fans loved it!
Adam Krueger Joined Drake And Kendrick Lamar's Rap War
Krueger's recent weather report definitely got some belly laughs for anyone following along with the Drake and Lamar rap war.
Across the top of the beginning of the video is, "If Kendrick Lamar did the weather," and TikTok viewers thought that was fitting.
"Let's say you wanna travel somewhere cooler. How many opps you got? I mean, it's too many options. You wanna pass on this heat like John Stockton you can go up to the northwest where there's 60s, 70s for highs today. So again, we got temperatures in the 90s, but it's gonna feel hotter for several days," he said while giving the weather update.
"Wop, wop, wop, wop. We get hit with a heat index well over 100. But the main story really is the fact that we're just stocking up on hot days. How many stocks do I really have in stock? One, two, three, four, five, plus five, hey look at this. We've got temperatures going 90-plus for several days in a row."
And that's when he hit them with a lyric that made listeners scream out loud when hearing Lamar's song for the first time. (Wait for it!)
"This is not a major cold front," he continued. "In fact, a general rule this time of year is if it's June, and we're talking about a cold front, it's probably a minorrrrrr." (And yes, he held that "r" sound mimicking the way Lamar does.)
'They Not Like Us, They Not Like Us'
Of course, Krueger couldn't end this weather report without hitting us with a few, "They not like us."
"And as we look into what the impact is gonna be on Monday, not quite hot enough for a heat advisory," he said. "But as we look farther west, they not like us, they not like us, they not like us."
Krueger's video quickly went viral with more than 1.6 million views in just a few hours. Viewers loved that the popular weatherman stepped into the rap battle being talked about everywhere.
"Not Drake getting cooked during the weather," one viewer wrote in the comment section. Another said, "He even added the 'A minnnoorrr.'"
And there's more where that came from!
"Drizzy getting cooked under barometric pressure," one person shared. Another said, "Drake can't catch a break even on the Weather Channel."
But just in case Drake or Lamar happened to catch this weather report or stumble upon the TikTok video, Krueger shared a disclaimer in the comments.
"For the record, I’m not picking sides. I want no part of this beef."
Adam Krueger Went Viral For Sneaking Eminem Lyrics Into His Weather Report
Last summer, Krueger went viral on TikTok for sneaking Eminem's "Without Me" lyrics into his weather report.
"We went a week without them, but guess who's back? Back again. Heat alerts are back. Tell a friend," he said while giving the weather report. "Clouds providing some shade that can help with the heat a little bit. Well if you want shade this is what I'll give you. A couple days where it's going to be partly cloudy."
Krueger continued with his report and sneaking in lyrics here and there. His TikTok video received more than 19.8 million views and 12,000 comments.
"H-Town Meteorologist hit Different! I love it here," one viewer shared. Another added, "My favorite weatherman and I live in Florida."
Adam Krueger Also Went Viral With Lil Jon's 'Get Low'
Earlier this year, Krueger went viral on TikTok when he snuck some Lil Jon lyrics into his weather report.
"I've got temperatures up here for the next few days. Now take it to the floor," he said while giving the weather report. "Tuesday, Wednesday morning, that's when we're in that hard freeze territory. You can see the speeds, three, six, nine, we're just fine. But a cold front's gonna sock it to us one more time."
He of course threw in a, "Temperatures will get low, get low, get low" before ending his quest to add Lil Jon lyrics to his forecast.
"If I were watching this as a part of my morning routine, I would think I'm having a stroke and that I'm hallucinating," one viewer shared in the comment section of the video. Another added, "This is the best thing I have ever seen and is so well executed."
It All Started With Wordle...
Back in 2022, Krueger found a sneaky way to help people with the game Wordle while giving his weather report. Since he didn't just want to hand the answer over to everyone, he decided to sneak the Wordle of the day into his forecast to make it fun.
The idea came to Krueger in early 2022. He explained his idea in a TikTok video.
"I've got an idea. I'm gonna try this every day. It's called 'Wordle in the Weather' challenge," he said. "I'm gonna take the wordle, today is askew, and it's going in the weather on TV."
His idea took off and he included the Wordle of the day in his weather reports for a while before switching to sneaking song lyrics in. TikTok viewers started to suggest specific songs and Krueger often obliged.
