Diddy Forced To Wash Hands Off His Company Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

Diddy's reign at Revolt seems to be over, considering the heat on his back. The music mogul has been compelled to step away from the company he co-founded in 2013 following serious sexual assault allegations.
The once-celebrated music icon Diddy now faces a critical juncture as he navigates the troubling mountain of accusations against him.
Diddy Sells Majority Stake In Revolt Amid Sexual Assault Allegations
The sale of his majority stake in Revolt signified a complete dissociation from the company he co-founded in 2013. Detavio Samuels, Revolt's chief executive, reportedly confirmed that Diddy no longer holds any shares or equity.
"One hundred percent of Sean Combs's shares have been redeemed and retired," Samuels insisted. According to The New York Times, the chief executive emphasized that the music producer did not hold any positions within the organization. In his words:
"He is no longer chairman. He is no longer on the board. He has no shares, no equity in Revolt. We have completely separated and dissociated from each other."
The decision came amidst a storm of controversy surrounding Diddy, triggered by the release of surveillance footage showing him allegedly assaulting a woman, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel hallway.
The unsettling video prompted strong reactions from Revolt employees, who expressed deep sadness and concern over Combs's actions. Their statement read:
"We are deeply saddened and disturbed by the recent video circulation of our former chairman, Sean' Diddy' Combs."
Shockingly, Diddy now faces a staggering total of seven sexual assault lawsuits filed against him within the span of a year.
Diddy Previously Stepped Down As Chairman Of Revolt
Notably, Diddy had temporarily stepped down as Revolt chairman in November 2023 following accusations of rape by Cassie, his ex-girlfriend.
Amidst the serious accusations, The Blast observed that the factors prompting Diddy's departure from his role remained veiled in secrecy.
Even with his preferred silence on the matter, speculation regarding his motives increased rapidly. Some hinted that he might be navigating the aftermath of Cassie's case, allegedly resolved outside the courtroom.
Others also speculated that external factors, such as pressure from the company's board of directors, may have influenced his decision.
Cassie Ventura And Diddy Reached Settlement In Legal Dispute
Although Diddy was left dealing with the aftermath of being sued by Cassie, it came as a surprise when the former couple chose to settle the matter privately instead of engaging in a protracted legal battle.
Following the resolution, Diddy released a statement indicating that they had opted for an amicable resolution. Shortly thereafter, Diddy's lawyer, Ben Brafman, issued a statement to dispel any misconceptions surrounding the settlement. Brafman clarified:
"Just so we're clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing. Mr. Combs' decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best."
Cassie also weighed in on the matter, explaining her decision to forego further legal action. In her statement, she expressed a desire for a resolution that allowed her some "level of control," before thanking her "family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support."
Cassie's Shocking Allegations Against Diddy
The singer filed a comprehensive 35-page complaint in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
The complaint detailed harrowing accounts of alleged physical assaults, sexual abuse, and coercive control tactics inflicted upon her by Diddy.
The document painted a disturbing picture of the alleged abuse, with the mother-of-two recounting one particularly traumatic incident said to have occurred during Paris Fashion Week in 2011.
In this incident, Cassie claimed that Diddy, in rage upon discovering emails exchanged between her and musician Kid Cudi, violently attacked her with a manual corkscrew.
After escaping to Kid Cudi's residence, Cassie alleged that a representative of Diddy coerced her into returning. Additionally, the lawsuit alleges another instance of violence during Paris Fashion Week in 2015.
This time, Cassie claimed Diddy physically assaulted her in a hotel suite. To conceal the assault, the dancer asserted that Diddy forced her to apply makeup, a disturbing attempt to mask the visible signs of abuse.
Diddy Faces Potential Indictment As Legal Troubles Mount
While Cassie's decision to settle amicably marked a significant development, it did not alleviate Diddy's legal woes entirely.
The Blast recently reported that the U.S. Justice Department may be preparing to indict Diddy for his alleged crimes, with sources suggesting that witnesses could be summoned to testify in court.
Since November 2023, Diddy has found himself embroiled in eight civil lawsuits, seven of which directly accuse him of sexual assault.
Among these complaints is one involving his son Christian Combs, who has also been named in connection with sexual assault allegations, with Diddy accused of aiding and abetting.
Investigators have reportedly informed the remaining accusers that they may be called to testify before a federal grand jury in New York City.
This move indicates that the investigation has progressed beyond the preliminary stage, where authorities typically assess potential violations of the law.
However, according to CNN, a spokesperson for the Homeland Security Investigations Agency (HSI) declined to confirm the existence of a grand jury. Rather, they emphasized that their investigations were ongoing.
