The jury in Trump's hush money trial has found the former President guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records related to payments made to former adult film star Stormy Daniels. Moments after the verdict was read, Donald Trump Jr. broke his silence.

"Obviously [it's] just a sad day for America," Trump Jr. said in his statement. "Crazy what's going on in this country. Obviously [no one was] probably expecting anything different with this jury, with this biased judge, whose daughter is profiteering from this stuff."

"The Democrats have succeeded in their years-long quest to turn our country into an absolute cr-p hole," he later added. "They've done that. They've been trying for a long time. There's literally no other way about it at this point."

The jury determined that Trump had falsified records to hide the true purpose of money given to his former fixer, Michael D. Cohen. The fabricated records misrepresented the payments as regular legal expenses, whereas, in reality, the former President was reimbursing Cohen for a $130,000 hush-money agreement made with p-rn star Stormy Daniels to suppress her story of a sexual encounter with Trump.

"We are getting exactly what these people have voted for, and it's not going to work out well," Trump Jr. continued of the verdict. "If you think they can do it to Trump, they can do it to anyone, okay?"

"This is honestly a sad day for our country. It's an absolute fr-ggin' disgrace, and I think everyone knows it."

Trump Jr. then called the verdict "election interference."

Shortly after hearing the verdict, Donald Trump spoke to the media. "This was a rigged trial, a disgrace," he said. "They wouldn’t give us a venue change. We were at 5 percent or 6 percent in this district and this area."

"This was a rigged disgraceful trial and the real verdict is going to be November 5 by the people and they know what happened here and everybody knows what happened here," the former President continued before claiming he is a "very innocent man."

"I’m fighting for our country. I’m fighting for our Constitution," Trump added. "Our whole country is being rigged right now."

The former President did not stop there; he blamed President Joe Biden and his administration.

"This was done by the Biden administration in order to wound or hurt an opponent, a political opponent," he told the press. "And I think it’s just a disgrace, and we’ll keep fighting and fighting till the end and we’ll win because our country has gone to hell."

"We don’t have the same country anymore. We have a divided mess," he added. "We’re a nation in decline, serious decline, millions and millions of people pouring into our country right now from prisons and from mental institutions, terrorists, and they’re taking over our country."

"We have a country that’s in big trouble, but this was a rigged decision right from day one. With a conflicted judge who should have never been allowed to try this case," Trump said. "Never. And we will fight for our Constitution."

Trump then promised, "This is long from over."

This makes Trump the first president in history to be convicted of a crime. He now faces up to four years in prison, though as a first-time offender, the billionaire mogul might receive a lighter sentence.

Trump's sentencing has now been scheduled for July 11, 2024. Neither the conviction nor any sentence prevents Trump from serving as president.
