Madonna Hit With Fresh Lawsuit For Exposing Fans To Adult Film Without Warning

The complaints about Madonna's Celebration Tour do not seem to be ending anytime soon, as she recently got slammed with a class action lawsuit.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, the "Material Girl" hitmaker and those involved with her concerts are being sued for multiple complaints. This includes false advertising and unwanted exposure to sexual content.
The Queen of Pop Madonna's twelfth concert tour is getting a lot of attention, but this is not the first lawsuit it has faced.
Madonna Faces Another Lawsuit Over Her Celebration Tour
The plaintiff, Justen Lipeles, filed a class action lawsuit on his behalf and that of all individuals in California who were deceived and lulled into purchasing expensive tickets for Madonna's concert.
He slammed the music icon, her promoter Live Nation, and other organizations involved in her Celebration Tour for six crimes — breach of written contract, negligent misrepresentation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false advertising, negligence/negligent infliction of emotional distress, and unfair competition.
Lipeles claimed the defendants, specifically Madonna and Live Nation, "purposely and deceptively withheld informing ticket purchasers" about crucial issues while promoting her Celebration Tour.
Because of this lack of information, he arrived at Kia Forum early on March 7, 2024, expecting the concert to start at 8:30 p.m., as promised.
Instead, the show started after 10:00 pm, and things worsened inside the venue because Madonna allegedly demanded the air conditioning be turned off. Lipeles noted he and other fans were profusely sweating and eventually became physically ill due to the heat.
Madonna Allegedly Told Fans To Strip
According to the lawsuit, the heat became unbearable to the point where fans voiced their complaints about the uncomfortable atmosphere. However, Madonna cold-heartedly dismissed their discomfort and allegedly told them to take their clothes off.
Lipeles noted that their fans' woes didn't end there, as the money they had spent to see Madonna perform live was wasted on her "apparent" lip-synching. Then, they were "forced to watch topless women on stage simulating sex acts."
"Forcing consumers to wait hours in hot, uncomfortable arenas and subjecting them to pornography without warning is demonstrative of Madonna's flippant disrespect for her fans," Lipeles argued, noting that it felt like he was watching a pornographic film being made.
The Aggrieved Fan Accused Madonna Of Being Disrespectful To Her Fans
Lipeles claimed Madonna had a history of disrespecting fans, citing an incident that allegedly happened during a December 17, 2019, performance at the Fillmore, Miami Beach, Florida.
The Queen of Pop turned off the venue's air conditioning, and her uncomfortable fans chanted: "A/C! A/C! AC!" However, Madonna allegedly told them:
"F-ck you! I'm cold. If you're hot, take your f-cking clothes off!"
He also claimed that she made concertgoers listen to pre-recorded music for over two hours in a hot arena before taking the stage and confirming her perchance for lateness, saying:
"I am sorry I am late... no, I am not sorry, it's who I am... I'm always late."
Lipeles argued that Madonna and her tour promoters were aware of her habits; therefore, they should have informed fans about her possibly starting a concert late.
He claimed they did so in 2019 at her Madame X Tour, where they gave consumers reasonable notice of a later start time.
The Queen Of Pop May Face A Jury Trial
Lipeles implored the court for a jury trial to address his complaints against Madonna and the other defendants on behalf of himself and other aggrieved fans.
He stressed that they deserved compensatory damages for breach of written contract since the concert didn't start at the agreed-upon time. Lipeles' demands also included pre- and post-judgment interests, costs of the lawsuit, and reasonable attorney fees.
The plaintiff asked for injunctive relief ordering the defendants' "unfair business acts and practices" to cease and restitution in the amount he and other fans paid for tickets plus the disgorgement of the profits Madonna's corner made from those transactions.
Madonna Tried To Dismiss Her First Lawsuit
As stated, Lipeles isn't the first to slam Madonna over her Celebration Tour, as The Blast reported that two fans sued her for starting her concerts late. However, the entertainer's team attempted to dismiss their complaints.
Last month, Madonna's lawyers argued that the lawsuit should be tossed out of court because it lacked viable claims. The defense team noted that the concertgoers' complaints of transportation issues were speculative and not enough to demand compensation.
As for Madonna's late entry, her lawyers stressed that fans should never predict the start and end times of shows regardless of what was printed on the event tickets. In their words:
"Reasonable concertgoers also know that concert lengths vary based on numerous factors."
They also called out one of the plaintiffs, Jonathan Hadden, for enjoying Madonna's concert despite his complaints. They highlighted a social media post where he praised the singer for an "incredible" show.
