Emily Ratajkowski's popularity appears to have taken a hit as her Instagram followers seem tired of her racy displays. The supermodel, 32, has already been slammed this year for stripping down to a topless thong look in her bathroom, and her haters were ready and waiting as she shared footage from her 2024 Met Gala appearance. Showing off her model figure in a floor-length, sheer gold dress at this year's event, Emily stunned in vintage '90s Versace, channeling her love of the sheer trend and rocking her signature braless finish. While some fans left love, the comments are now dominated by negative replies.

Scroll for the video. Looking red carpet-ready as she highlighted her cleavage and exposed her chest tastefully, Emily left little to the imagination in her floor-length, long-sleeved number. Going for a mesh, crystal-embellished look and fabrics that were especially sheer at the chest and legs, the Inamorata founder went curve-hugging in her silver number, accessorizing her gown with barely there, diamante high heels, plus discreet earrings and bangles.

Rocking a spiked finish to her tied-back locks, Emily kept glam with warming foundation and a glossy lip, also bringing out her almond-shaped eyes via dark eyeshadow and a little liner. She reposted TikTok footage of the glittering night to Instagram on May 9, and it doesn't look like her followers were impressed.
"GIRLLL you're so tiring," a popular reply read. "Same naked theme all the time. Boring," another wrote. Echoing this thought, a separate user told the mom of one: "The same as always … why don’t you go out naked?" Over 280 users liked a reply reading: "Too cheap. Leave something to the imagination please."
Fans Say She's A Hypocrite

Emily is a staunch feminist and has even penned her feminist views via her My Body book. While some fans view her scantily-clad displays as empowering, others deem the star a hypocrite, with a common theme to her IG comments being that she complains of being sexualized, but actively sexualized herself.
"Then she says she doesn't want to be sexualized... But woman, all you do is sexualize yourself," a user replied to Just Jared-posted snaps of Emily at the Met Gala. "The one that didn’t want to be sexualized. This is ridiculous," another stated.
Not Hurting Swimwear Sales

The criticism may make headlines, but it doesn't look like it's affecting sales of Emily's swimwear brand. In 2017, the model launched her Inamorata brand, one now boasting over 700,000 followers on Instagram. This May 2023 snap showed Emily stunning in a colorful bikini from her Inamorata x Mirror Palais collab as she jetted out to Brazil to shoot the collab's campaign. Fans left the photo over 40,000 likes.
