She continued, "It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past. Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to take this matter seriously. My only ask is that EVERYONE open your heart to believing victims the first time. It takes a lot of heart to tell the truth out of a situation that you were powerless in.

Concluding her post, the singer said, "I offer my hand to those that are still living in fear. Reach out to your people, don't cut them off. No one should carry this weight alone. This healing journey is never ending, but this support means everything to me. Thank you. Love Always, Cassie."

After being slammed for the viral video clip, Diddy broke his silence, saying he was sorry and that he is committed to being a "better man."

The rapper said, "It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was f--ked up. I mean, I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses. My behavior [in] that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I'm disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it, I'm disgusted now."

He continued, "I went, and I sought out professional help. Had to go into therapy. Had to go into rehab. Had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I'm so sorry. But I'm committed to [being] a better man each and every day. And I'm not asking for forgiveness. I'm truly sorry."

The Gruesome Video Of Cassie's Assault

On May 17, CNN released a hotel surveillance footage from 2016, which exposed Diddy's abusive actions toward his former girlfriend.

The rapper, who had previously denied any wrongdoing after Cassie and other women filed a lawsuit, could be seen beating up the singer while wearing nothing but a white towel around his waist.

Diddy rushed after Cassie, who had hurriedly walked to the hotel's elevator. Upon the music mogul reaching her, he seized her roughly by the neck and forcefully pushed her to the ground some distance away from the elevator.

Subsequently, he delivered a brutal kick to her body before swiftly retrieving the singer's belongings. After that, Diddy violently kicked Cassie again and then dragged her back down the hallway by her hoodie. He was later seen angrily throwing a vase at Cassie while sitting on a chair.

Cassie's Lawyer Slammed Diddy's Apology

Diddy's apology has since been slammed by Cassie's lawyer, who noted that the rapper was very vocal about his innocence when his ex-girlfriend and several other women came forward with abuse allegations against him.

Meredith Firetog, a lawyer representing Cassie, made a statement calling Diddy's words "disingenuous."

Firetog said, "Combs' most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt. When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday."

She added, "That he was only compelled to 'apologize' once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words."
