In an exciting venture that blended sports, music, and high-stakes collecting, Snoop teamed up with The Realest, a memorabilia authentication and auction company, to launch an auction series called "The Shiznit."

This partnership allows fans and collectors to own a piece of hip-hop history, with Snoop's full participation.

Highlighting the untapped value of his extensive collection, the 52-year-old icon noted, "This is s— that we have, but we didn't know it was worth something." Scott "DJ Skee" Keeney, the founder of The Realest, told Variety:

"The items he is putting up are iconic. Everything from lyrics, awards — like 'Pimp of the Year'! — unreleased tapes, outfits, sample toys, photos, scripts, concert riders, even a Snoop-authenticated smoked blunt in a crazy display case and ashtray."

The much-anticipated event launched on May 21 and is expected to run until June 2. A preview event marked the beginning of the auction in New York, and a subsequent event was scheduled in Los Angeles on May 29.

The auction will feature a wide array of memorabilia, catering to various interests and budgets. Fans can bid on items ranging from photos, Playstations, and autographed concert riders.

However, there are more exclusive pieces like TV scripts from episodes of "The Boondocks" that Snoop Dogg voiced, platinum discs, and master recording tapes (without the music copyrights).

Also listed are wears like autographed jackets and jerseys and a Death Row Records chain in a custom box signed by Snoop himself.

While Snoop's latest venture into memorabilia auctions garnered significant attention, he is not the first artist to delve into this lucrative market.

Last July, The Blast reported that Tupac's custom crown-shaped ring sold for nearly $1.02 million at a Sotheby's auction in New York.

The cherished possession was estimated to sell for between $200,000 and $300,000 but finally exceeded expectations.

The 14-karat gold ring, adorned with diamonds and rubies and inscribed with "Pac & Dada 1996," was auctioned by Tupac's godmother, Yaasmyn Fula.

Fula revealed that it was designed by Tupac himself and meticulously assembled by New York City jewelers.

Despite its sad history and Tupac's absence as owner, the car was put up for sale with an eye-watering price tag of $1,750,000.

Tupac And Biggie's Arrest Fingerprint Documents Fetched Hefty Price Tags At Auction

Following Tupac's crown-shaped ring auction, Momentsintime.com, a leading autograph dealer, made waves in the world of hip-hop memorabilia by unveiling arrest fingerprint documents from rap icons Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G.

The Blast shared that the rare items reportedly cost $225,000 each, but they provided insight into the legendary duo's legal journeys. Tupac's fingerprint document, stemming from his 1995 arrest, bore his real name, Lesane Parish Crooks.

The document captured the aftermath of a legal battle that resulted in a nine-month prison sentence for his alleged involvement in the sexual assault case of fan Ayanna Jackson.
