In the aftermath of a viral 2016 surveillance video that saw the "Bad Boy for Life" crooner stomping, kicking, and dragging his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, Peloton has temporarily banned Diddy's Music and his Bad Boy entertainment series from its program.

The fitness company revealed it was cutting ties with Diddy in a statement shared on a private member's Facebook page after a concerned user suggested that the company's "next purge needs to be all Diddy classes."

"We take this issue very seriously and can confirm Peloton has paused the use of Sean Combs' music, as well as removed the Bad Boy Entertainment Artist Series, on our platform," Peloton's statement read, per Radar Online.

The Rapper Apologized For The Video But Did Not Mention Cassie's Name

Peloton's statement comes three days after a 2016 surveillance video that showed Diddy physically assaulting Cassie went viral.

The "We Ain't Goin' Nowhere" crooner subsequently took to his Instagram page to share a video, where he apologized for his "inexcusable" actions and took "full responsibility" for them.

"It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that," Diddy says in the video. "I was disgusted then when I did it. I'm disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I'm so sorry."

He added that he's "committed to be a better man each and every day," noting that he's "truly sorry."

His surprise apology comes after Cassie sued Diddy in November last year, alleging that he trafficked, raped, drugged, and beat her over ten years, per the BBC. The R&B singer also claimed in the now-settled lawsuit that she was forced to have sex with male prostitutes while Diddy filmed them.

Diddy's Apology Faces Widespread Condemnation

Diddy's apology has faced widespread disapproval from celebrities alike due to months of denial about any such act on his part and claiming that his accusers were "looking for a quick payday."

Cassie's lawyer, Meredith Firetog, slammed the rapper's apology video in a statement posted on X, noting that Diddy was selfish in it rather than truly sorry for the people he had hurt.

"Combs' most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt," Firetog said. "When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday. That he was only compelled to 'apologize' once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation."

Several other A-list stars have also hit out at Diddy, with some unequivocally condemning his acts.

Commenting on the video on X, actress Emily Ratajkowski wrote: "Monster."

Singer and reality star Aubrey O'Day also slammed Diddy's apology video, writing, "Diddy did not apologize to Cassie. He apologized to the world for seeing what he did… Leave God and mercy out of this, they aren't present here, and you know it."

After CNN released the disturbing clip, Cassie's husband, Alex Fine, shared a heartfelt "Letter to women and children," which he had written "a while back."

In his letter, he included the saying: "Men who hit women aren't men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren't men."

Fine urged his followers to "Hold the women in your life with the utmost regard," adding, "Men who hurt women hate women."

Addressing abusers, he declared: "You're done, you're not safe anymore, you're not protected anymore. The men by your side are just as weak. You're so miserable with yourself that [death] would be considered a kindness."

Despite evidence of the disturbing video, the LA county DA revealed in a statement on Instagram that they wouldn't be pursuing prosecution against the embattled music executive as the timeline for reporting such an incident has since elapsed.

"We are aware of the video that has been circulating online allegedly depicting Sean Combs assaulting a young woman in Los Angeles," the statement began, describing the video as "extremely disturbing and difficult to watch."

"If the conduct depicted occurred in 2016, unfortunately, we would be unable to charge as the conduct would have occurred beyond the timeline where a crime of assault can be prosecuted," the statement added.

The DA's office also disclosed that cops haven't informed them of any case brought against Diddy but "encouraged" any victims or witnesses to contact the Bureau of Victims Services.
