Nina Dobrev Hospitalized As Nasty E-Bike Accident Leaves Her In A Cast And Neck Brace

Canadian actress Nina Dobrev recently shared hospital photos after an e-bike accident, revealing a leg cast and neck brace.

Her famous friends, Sophia Bush and Julianne Hough, sent well wishes. Fans also joked about her lack of a helmet and speculated on her health.

Dobrev is renowned for her adventurous spirit in outdoor sports. Over the weekend, the actress took her daring nature up a notch by riding an E-Bike, which unfortunately led to an accident.

While updating fans on her health, the "The Vampire Diaries" star shared photos from the hospital, where she was seen in a gown, hooked up to an IV, with her left leg in a cast and a neck brace extending from her collarbone to her chin.

The photo set included an image taken just before the mishap, showing Dobrev posing on the small black bike. She wore a black outfit with white striped shorts, a top, and a sweater, complemented by white socks, sneakers, and brown sunglasses. The actress beamed for the camera, displaying her signature brunette hair and bangs.

Dobrev also posted a selfie on her Instagram Stories from her hospital bed, showing a sad expression with her bottom lip jutting out.

In another post on a plain black background, she wrote, "I'm okay, but it's going to be a long road of recovery ahead," adding a broken heart emoji and an injured emoji.

In the comments, famous friends and fans flooded Dobrev's feed with warm wishes and messages of support.

Sophia Bush remarked, "Nooooo! You poor babe," while Julianne Hough wrote, "That's my girl! Obviously wouldn't make jokes if you were not ok…"

Several commenters pointed out Dobrev's lack of a helmet in the first picture. One urged, "Nina, remember to wear a helmet next time!!" Another fan joked, "Girl, remember that vampire blood has no effect on you anymore."

"Girl!! Your outdoor privileges have been revoked," a third person remarked.

Dobrev's accident comes after her partner, professional snowboarder Shaun White, praised her snowboarding abilities during an interview.

Speaking to E! News, white gushed over how good she is, noting, "She's really good on the board.

He added, "She grew up in Canada. So, it was nice 'cause that's definitely sometimes a relationship make-or-break. Not if they can't ride, but I've had people come up with me and it didn't end well 'cause I'm not the best coach at times."

Over the past four years of their relationship, Dobrev and White have become known for their adventurous snow sports exploits.

Last fall, rumors of a potential pregnancy began circulating after fans noticed a clue in photos of Dobrev and White attending the September wedding of Jesse Buss, co-owner and assistant general manager of the Lakers, and his fiancée Sarah Jordan.

In the photos, Dobrev looked stunning in a figure-hugging light blue silk gown adorned with gold and white flowers. She wore full glam makeup, and her brunette hair was styled straight with bangs. At the upscale event, she also carried a small basket filled with white flowers.

White complemented her look in a black and white tuxedo with black sunglasses and a bowtie. In one snap, Dobrev leaned in toward her beau, arching her back and poking out her stomach, sparking pregnancy rumors.

Although they publicly announced their relationship in May 2020, Dobrev and White started dating the month prior. Their paths crossed in 2019 at an event for motivational speaker Tony Robbins in Florida, where they both gave presentations.

After the event, they decided to grab a meal together, during which the professional snowboarder realized just how famous Dobreb is.

"I actually didn't know anything about her," White admitted to People in January 2022. He recounted a humorous incident where he approached restaurant staff, thinking they wanted a photo with him, only to discover it was the other way around. "Can we get a photo ... with her?" the waiters asked the Olympic snowboarder.
