Chloë Grace Moretz In Skimpy Beach Bikini 'Set Up For Criticism'

Chloë Grace Moretz having her bikini photo woven into an article about her slamming a nude Kim Kardashian image has angered fans. The actress, 27, was aged 19 when she posted a low-key beach snap to her Instagram in 2016, with The Daily Mail choosing to mention that the image had been posted three months after she publicly criticized mogul Kim for sharing a naked snap. Chloë, who went relatively covered up for a celebrity swimwear moment, wore bikini bottoms and a crochet sweater as she hid her face from the camera. Fans have, by the masses, deemed the mention of Kim irrelevant, with one even saying that Moretz was "set up for criticism" by the newspaper.

With her hair falling over much of her face, the Carrie star flaunted her gym-honed legs while stripped down to stringy white bikini bottoms, with a loose-fitting crochet sweater in white keeping her look coordinated. Going a little sheer with her stylish top, Chloë sent out relaxed, low-key vibes, but the headline was dramatic. "Chloe Moretz puts her body confidence on display in bikini snap three months after criticizing Kim Kardashian for THAT selfie," The Daily Mail wrote.

Moretz had, earlier that year, shaded SKIMS founder Kim over a photo showing her in her birthday suit and with two censoring bars placed across her chest and nether regions. Clarifying her comment, Chloë had later said:

"It wasn’t a #BodyConfidence or #LoveWhoYouAre. It was done in a slightly voyeuristic light, which I felt was a little inappropriate for young women to see. I would hate for young women to feel they need to post certain photos in order to gain likes, retweets, favorites and male attention."

The comments section has been discussing whether or not the bikini photo should even have been linked to an image showing Kim wearing absolutely nothing at all.

Leading the way with over 5,000 upvotes, one fan replied: "But chloe isn't naked. Huge difference." Also seeming to think that the mention was a bit of a stretch, a separate user said: "Come on DM there is a difference between posing naked and wearing a bikini and top on the beach!"

Feeling that the Kim K mention could have been omitted and that the photo perhaps painted Moretz in a different light than the original Insta-posted snap intended, a further user remarked: "I feel like Dm is trying to set Chloe up for criticism because they just love to brown nose the Kardashian Jenner clan. She's actually wearing something on her body bottom and top. If she was completely naked which I know she wouldn't do. It's still not as shameless as Kim."
