Millie Bobby Brown's Teen Bikini Photos Deemed 'Invasive'

Millie Bobby Brown may be making 2024 headlines for showing off her sensational swimsuit body as she promotes her newly-launched fashion line, but the 20-year-old wound up a talking point for different reasons back in 2022. Aged 18 at the time, the Stranger Things actress had the paparazzi chasing after her as she enjoyed a vacation in Italy, one seeing her joined by now-fiance Jake Bongiovi and swimwear-clad. Showing off her curves in a string bikini top as she and Jake relaxed on a yacht outing, Millie quickly saw users deeming the photos invasive — seemingly, especially given that she was still in her teens.

Adding in a green mesh skirt that clung to her slim waistline, the Florence by Mills founder flashed her abs as she wore an elegant, pink and white necktie, completing her nautical look with a chic straw sunhat.

The images, published by The Daily Mail that summer, showed Millie smiling as she and Jake enjoyed their outing, with some snaps showing the couple descending onto a small speedboat for a quick cruise-around. Millie did not appear to have spotted the cameras, and it was precisely this that bothered some users.

"Aw. I like Millie. Invasive photos," one user said. Over 300 others liked the comment. Another accused the newspaper of "stalking" the actress. "Ah the ages old Daily Mail trick. Haven't seen this since Ariel Winter," a third said, mentioning the Modern Family star.

"You wait until an actress is 18, and then saturate the pages of the DM with them, often with intrusive photos. And that then gets the public bored and irritated with them, writing a narrative for them," they continued, concluding: "I can see the reporters rubbing their hands with glee when they start getting well known. It's creepy."

Millie has been posting swimwear content on her own watch these past few weeks. The above photo landed on the star's Instagram last month.

Posing sunkissed against a wall while stripped down to a skimpy bikini top and denim shorts, Millie stunned as she flashed her cleavage and abs in her summery look, one promoting her Florence by Mills Fashion brand. "Vacay in my flo denim," she wrote as fans left her over 3 million likes.

Bringing fans a 2.0 shortly after, Millie returned in video mode for a full bikini showoff in pastel purple swimwear, throwing on cute green shorts and applying some lip gloss from her OG Florence by Mills cosmetics brand. "Pool ready," she captioned the share.
