Her recent statement about Perry comes after Cox's recent admission of her motherhood regrets, in which she wished she'd done things differently.

According to Page Six, she appeared on the "Minnie Questions" podcast in April, where she opened up about her regrets about not being a "firmer parent" to her daughter, Coco Arquette, whom she shares with her ex-husband, David Arquette.

"I didn't want to step in even though I knew something wasn't right because she would get so mad at me," Cox shared, referencing her inability to protect Coco from certain situations and relationships.

She continued, "I did understand, and I should've trusted myself, and I should've stepped in. I'm not saying I made her who she is, but you do see things in other people, whether it's just always taking care of people and being the nicest person."

"And I mean, that's one of the things with age, I've learned to say no, I've learned to have boundaries. But I mean, earlier on, when she was a kid or not even that many years ago, I wish I'd been a firmer parent," she added.

Elsewhere on the "Minnie Questions" podcast, the "Scream" franchise actress shared that she was blindsided when her fiancé, Johnny McDaid, dumped her just one minute into a therapy session that was supposed to better their relationship, per the Daily Mail.

"Johnny and I broke up five years ago. So, three years in, we broke up, and it was really intense. We broke up in therapy," she shared.

"I didn't know it was coming. Whether I should have or not, it was just like we went to this therapist to talk about our boundaries - what we could and couldn't accept about each other," she continued.

"Instead, he just broke up within the first minute. And I was like, 'What?' And we were engaged. And I was so shocked, I was in so much pain, I also don't like surprises," Cox added.
