On Tuesday, Duane "Dog" Chapman and his son, Leland, were on their first manhunt since the death of Beth Chapman last month. While attempting to arrest a fugitive, Leland went down with an injury, as The Blast first reported yesterday.

A source told The Blast that the fugitive -- Edward Morales, who pled guilty to harassment but failed to appear in court for a hearing -- "fought like hell."

Dog and Leland were able to subdue the man and arrest him, but during the struggle Leland suffered what was initially speculated to be a torn ACL and was taken to the hospital.

A spokesperson for the Chapman family confirmed to AL.com that the injury is in fact a torn ACL. Leland is expected to be out of commission for at least six weeks while he recovers from surgery.

Fans will be able to see the full incident on WGN's "Dog's Most Wanted" -- camera crews caught all the action. The premiere date for the show has not yet been released.
