“Teen Mom” star Amber Portwood is going to have more than just a criminal battle on her hands because her boyfriend has just taken the steps to get custody of their 1-year-old son.
According to court records, obtained by The Blast, Andrew Glennon filed documents on Tuesday in Indiana.
He filed a petition for paternity, and also for an emergency hearing regarding custody of their child, James Glennon.
Glennon is taking the first steps needed to try and gain full custody of his son, and it seems things are over between him and Portwood.
As we reported, the “Teen Mom” was arrested after 4th of July for allegedly hitting Glennon while he was holding their son.
According to the 911 dispatcher, he feared for the life of him and his son during Portwood’s alleged tirade.
When cops showed up, she was hauled to jail and booked on felony domestic battery charges.
29-year-old Portwood began dating Glennon in 2017 after the two met on the set of “Marriage Boot Camp.”
Portwood already has a 9-year-old daughter, Leah, who appears to spend the majority of her time with ex-BF Gary Shirley.
The star has spoken on their custody situation, and stated that Leah decides who she wants to spend time with.
However, now that Glennon has sought out a formal custody order, baby James will have a strict schedule on which parent gets custody.
It’s possible Portwood could be on the hook for child support, if it turns out Glennon ends up with the majority of custody.
She has not answered the paternity documents yet, but is due in court Wednesday for a first appearance in the domestic battery case.
