'Southern Charm' Star Thomas Ravenel Accuses Kathryn Dennis of Failing Drug Test, Demands Sole Custody of Kids

“Southern Charm” star Thomas Ravenel is accusing his ex Kathryn Dennis of testing positive for marijuana on a recent drug test and is asking a court to strip custody away.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Ravenel has rushed back to court in his custody battle demanding full custody of their two kids Kensie and Saint.

Ravenel says on June 13, 2019, both he and Dennis were told to submit to a drug test by the court. They had to give blood, alcohol, urine and hair drug tests. He claims that on June 14, “while in the possession of the children, Kathryn produced a urine test positive for marijuana, benzodiazepines and amphetamines.” Ravenel says she has prescriptions for benzodiazepines and amphetamines, but the marijuana is not allowed.

Dennis, “disputes the veracity of the June 14, 2019 urine tests because her hair test was negative.” Ravenel claims that Dennis wears wigs, has hair extensions and routinely bleaches and dyes her hair, which would make her hair tests unreliable.

He does admit Dennis did produce a negative urine test after her positive test, “but the marijuana detected in the June 14, 2019 test could have been flushed out of her urine by that time.”

Ravenel claims that she has also purchased fake urine in the past online. He points to a credit card statement from their first round of court battles, which showed a $315 purchase from an online store.

The former reality star claims Dennis’ mother is also mostly taking care of the kids.

He even brings up Dennis spending tens of thousands of dollars on designer clothes and then forgetting to pay her water bill. He says her bank statements show Dennis spending over $85,000 on clothing, hair and makeup in 2018 and over $90k in 2017.

Ravenel even accuses Dennis’ of refusing to follow their custody agreement, by allowing her current boyfriend Hunter Price to live with her.

He filed a declaration saying he was ready to share 50-50 custody with Dennis, but claims to have learned things during their court battle that made that thought “terrifying.”

Ravenel is demanding the court award him sole custody of their kids. He wants Dennis to only have supervised visitations every other weekend. Dennis has yet to respond to the allegations.

Earlier this year, the two were able to come together without issues for their daughter’s graduation.

Back in November 2018, Ravenel filed a lawsuit against Bravo and “Southern Charm” producers demanding a judge stop them from broadcasting unaired footage on the show.

Ravenel filed the docs as part of his custody battle with Dennis. She filed for primary custody of the children back in October. Dennis had her custody taken away in 2016 after failing a drug test but was awarded joint custody this year after completing rehab and staying clean.

In his suit against Bravo, Ravenel says the network and “Southern Charm” producers “encouraged” his ex to file for custody against him to create drama on the show.

He demanded Dennis not be awarded primary custody despite her request. Ravenel, who is about to be on trial for an alleged sexual assault in South Carolina, claimed he learned that Bravo and producers have unaired footage of his kids and ex talking about the legal battle and it was to be aired on the upcoming season. The reality star sued demanding a South Carolina judge prohibit the sensitive footage from airing on the show.

Ravenel would later file docs accusing Dennis of buying drugs from friends and show producers and even accused her of committing a hit-and-run.

The case has also caused co-star Patricia Altschul to be dragged into the battle, with a judge ordering she has to sit for a deposition taken by Ravenel.

The case is ongoing.
