For several months, speculation swirled around whether Clarkson used weight loss medications to achieve her body transformation, with many claiming that the drug was Ozempic.

During a recent chat with actress Whoopi Goldberg on her talk show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show," the singer admitted that she used a prescription drug. However, Clarkson mentioned that it was not Ozempic, as many had thought.

"Mine is a different one than people assume, but I ended up having to do that too," Clarkson said on the episode. "Everybody thinks it's Ozempic, it's not — it's something else."

She Hinted At Having 'Thyroid Problems'

The mother of two claimed that the decision to take the drugs was not something she embraced wholeheartedly.

"My doctor chased me for like two years," the "Goodbye" crooner recalled. "And I was like, 'No, I'm afraid of it. I already have thyroid problems, I was afraid.'"

While Clarkson did not mention what kind of thyroid problems she has, some issues, such as hyperthyroidism, are known to cause weight loss or weight gain in some patients. However, according to the National Institutes of Health, the majority of patients tend to experience weight loss, and treatment for the disorder can cause weight gain.

Although Clarkson did not reveal the name of the drug her doctors prescribed her, she did reveal that it aids her body in breaking "down the sugar" since it "doesn't do it right."

In 2022, Clarkson finalized her divorce from Brandon Blackstock, her husband of seven years. The duo shares two children, River and Remington, although Blackstock had two other kids from a previous relationship.

Since leaving Blackstock, Clarkson has found it difficult to navigate the dating world. She revealed this on Friday's episode of her show, which featured comedian Tiffany Haddish as a guest.

"I get so nervous," the 42-year-old told her guest, per People. "It's awkward."

It comes after she made a similar claim during her cover story for the outlet earlier in the year.

"Dating sucks. It's so awkward," Clarkson revealed during the interview. "I was single until I was, like, 30, and I forgot how really good at that I am.

At the time, she also claimed that a potential partner for her was someone who "brings their own life to the table without needing anything" from her.

Despite having finalized their divorce a while ago, Clarkson and Blackstock still have a different matter to settle in court.

The two are in court over Blackstock's alleged violation of the California Talent Agencies Act, which dictates that only the licensed talent can take commissions on deals secured for them.

In this regard, a California labor commissioner had already ruled in November that Clarkson's ex owed her $2.6 million for transactions from 2017. However, Clarkson wants a more comprehensive review of Blackstock's dealings, having filed in March that he had been ripping her off since 2007.

The trial has been scheduled for August 27.
