Carrie Underwood looked fit, healthy, and definitely in shape as she snapped a rare bikini selfie to welcome summer in June 2020. Observing pandemic lockdowns as she stayed home, the 40-year-old country singer stunned her Instagram fans with a closet selfie, posing in a stylish two-piece from her CALIA brand and making sure to name-drop her best-selling label in the post. While the update made headlines for Carrie showing off her bikini body and a super-smart laundry setup, it also saw some fans thinking that she's gotten too thin. One user even told the "Before He Cheats" hitmaker to "eat something."

Going skintight as she flaunted her rippling abs and trim hips, the mom of two also flashed her world-famous legs as she posed barefoot, placing one hand near her bikini bottoms' thick black waistband and using the other to hold her smartphone.

Smiling confidently as she flaunted both a golden tan and her hair all beachy-waved and worn down, Carrie looked fitter than ever with her sculpted shoulders and bulging biceps on show, but some still felt that she could do with gaining a few pounds.
In a caption, the American Idol winner wrote: "First day of summer! Loving this swim combo!" also tagging CALIA.
"I think she looks super skinny!!! I’m not hating her body but I remember when she looked so adorable when [sic] was just a contestant at American Idol," one user replied. "Beautiful woman but eat something," another wrote. While one fan harshly wrote: "Eat," another told the blonde that she is "too skinny" with "no body left."
Eating Disorder Reveal After 'American Idol'

Carrie has bravely opened up about the difficult period she went through after winning American Idol in 2005. In a 2020 reveal, she spoke of living off "pasta and quesadillas" after the big win, stating: “I was tired, and I kept buying bigger clothes. I knew I could be better for myself, and I let my haters be my motivators.” The star quickly found herself in a cycle of addictive behaviors, from restricting her calories to just 800 per day to logging whatever she saw on food labels and her elliptical time.
"Your body is screaming out, I need more calories, I need more carbs!” she said while speaking to Women's Health. Underwood has since found a path to balance and is now a fitness icon complete with two fitness-centric brands.
