Kim Kardashian Gets Standing Ovation After White House Speech on Prison Reform

Kim Kardashian was praised by President Trump for her tireless efforts on prison reform, and he also gave a shout out to Kanye West.

The "KUWTK" star, just spoke at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave in front of a packed crowd as President Trump unveiled the recently passed First Step Act, which stands for Formerly Incarcerated Reenter Society Transformed Safely Transitioning Every Person Act.

Trump introduced Kim as a "good person" and one of the "most succesful people in the entertainment business," before applauding Kim on her quest to become a lawyer.

He also gave a shoutout to Kanye West and called the rapper, "a real friend of mine."

After taking the podium, Kim thanked Trump and praised Ivanka and Jared Kushner for getting her started on her quest for prison reform.

Kim spoke on visiting different prisons and learning about the justice system, and admitted she had no clue about the difficulties convicted felons faced upon release from prison while trying to reenter society.

She also announced a ride share program that will provide vouchers to convicts that will allow them to get free rides to job interviews, as well as visit family members. She said the main focus is to try and reduce recidivism.

After her speech, Kim recieved a standing ovation from the crowd, and President Trump followed up with a glowing review of the star.

He also mentioned Kim assisting the legal team working on prison reform, and quipped, "She's the highest paid assistant in history ... there's never been anything like it."

As we reported, Kim's visit to Kevin Cooper at San Quentin State Prison was unfortunately marred by unauthorized photos that were taken of the star entering the facility.
