A black Cadillac Escalade owned by rapper YG was involved a high-speed pursuit in Los Angeles, which ended with one police officer being shot.
According to ABC 7, YG (real name: Keenon Jackson) is the registered owner of the SUV that led police on a chase that began in Compton and ended in Inglewood.
It is unclear if YG was in the car at the time of the pursuit.

The fallout for YG’s alleged involvement in the shooting has already started to effect his wallet.
Sources close to the situation tell The Blast his big show in Las Vegas, set for this weekend at KAOS Nightclub at the Palms Casino Resort, has been scrapped.
The show was originally scheduled for July 6, as part of the afterparty for UFC 39.
We’re told the event will still feature appearances by Stephen Thompson, Chris Weidman and UFC ring girls.
Security issues were not mentioned by KAOS executives, but it’s clear there are concerns.
Everyone who purchased tickets to YG will still be allowed access to the nightclub, and also to Sunday’s pool party.
Refunds will also be given to those who only wanted to see YG perform.
As for his alleged involvement, YG says, “I was nowhere near the scene of this incident, I was in Hollywood recording in the studio all day.”
He adds, “I was there until after midnight on the 4th of July and didn’t learn of these events until after they happened!”
Police were originally called to a reckless DUI suspect but detectives later responded to a deputy-involved shooting.
During the pursuit, the suspects driving were firing shots at deputies and at the sheriff’s helicopter, which was not hit during the incident.
The police said a man was killed at the scene but he was not involved in the shooting and happened to be an innocent bystander who got caught in the crossfire.
The one deputy who was shot during the chase was treated and released. He suffered minor injuries from the gunshot.
Reports said the officer’s police cruise was seen “riddled with bullets” and that YG’s vehicle had “aftermarket bulletproof glass” and armor. One person was detained and another suspect is outstanding currently.
It’s unclear if the other suspect is YG.
The rapper’s fans took to IG and have been leaving him comments on his most recent post asking about the police chase.
A fan wrote “You good??? Sup w the shootout” while another commented “Big bro they saying you had a shootout last night.
The rapper has not addressed the incident or spoken on the allegations.
The rapper is also dealing with an unrelated criminal case in which a grand jury charged him with three felonies, including grand larceny and larceny from a person relating to an alleged robbery that went down in Las Vegas back in May 2018.
The grand larceny and robbery charges carry a maximum punishment of 10 years each. The rapper entered a plea of not guilty to all charges.
