The trial, which lasted for eight months, was televised live, reaching millions of viewers worldwide. The prosecution presented DNA evidence linking O.J. to the murders, but the defense team accused LAPD of mishandling evidence.

The defense team presented the controversial glove fitting incident and argued that the killings were committed by another person, as the line “If the glove don't fit, you must acquit” became famous.

The jury acquitted O.J. Simpson of both murders, leaving the nation shocked. While he was acquitted in criminal court, a civil jury later found him liable for the wrongful deaths and ordered him to pay damages to the victims' families.
