Body Language Expert Weighs In On If Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift Will Last

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been packing on the PDA at recent outings, and now a body language expert is weighing in on whether the couple will last or not.

The NFL player and pop star have been linked since last summer, but it wasn't until September that the two went public. Swift has attended several of Kelce's football games, including the Super Bowl, while Kelce returned the favor and flew internationally to watch his girlfriend perform on her Eras Tour.

More recently, the couple attended Kelce's teammate, Patrick Mahomes's, charity event, where he called Swift his "significant other." The two also auctioned off tickets to Swift's Eras Tour.

At the event, Kelce and Swift were not afraid to show some PDA as they held hands and were all over one another all evening. “They walked in holding hands, and they were affectionate all night,” an attendee told Entertainment Tonight.

But will the relationship last? A body language expert is weighing in.

According to Adam Lyons, a world-leading dating coach, psychology and body language expert, and founder of Ask The Dating Coach, "Love isn’t an emotion, it’s a hormone called oxytocin, and the most important body language cues to look for when wondering if someone is in love, are laughter and touching."

When examining Swift and Kelce's body language, Lyons predicted that the two would "last far longer than a year" as their body language shows “amazing chemistry.” When they are photographed out together, “they’re always smiling, and they’re always looking at each other” which Lyons says is a sign of their true love for each other.

Furthermore, Lyons looked at a video from November 2023, where the NFL star and 'Red' singer were visiting New York City. Swift's security guard approached her side of the car, and Kelce asked if he could take over, and he proceeded to open her car door.

Lyons explained that the video is "a testament to the strength of their relationship."

"Travis is looking after her. Once Taylor is out of the car, he puts his arm around her shoulder and kisses the top of her head. These are all great signs, and it is clear they’re into each other," Lyons said.

He added that “They’re constantly holding hands, which is a huge trigger that shows that people are really into each other.”

Last year, when Taylor Swift was named TIME's 2023 Person of the Year, she spoke out about her relationship with Travis Kelce for the first time.

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there, and we don’t care,” she told the publication. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

The 'Look What You Made Me Do' singer then revealed she and Travis had spent time together out of the public's eye to get to know one another.

“So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to get to know each other,” she said. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game. We would never be psychotic enough to hard-launch a first date.”

Travis Kelce also opened up about his relationship with the pop star in an interview with Wall Street Journal.

“Obviously I’ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them. I’ve never dealt with it,” he told the magazine. “But at the same time, I’m not running away from any of it."

He added, "The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she’s just living, enjoying life. When she acts like that, I better not be the one acting all strange.”
