Hilary Duff Playing Football In A Bikini Is A 'Thanks For Posting' Deal

Hilary Duff playing football while bikini-clad cheered plenty of fans up as a 2017 photo of her resurfaced on an Instagram fan account last fall. In September 2023, a beach-set photo of the Lizzie McGuire alum surfaced as fans gushed over their favorite blonde, and one fan even said: "Thanks for posting." Getting active on the beach back when she was 29 years old, Hilary sizzled in a skimpy black bikini as she flaunted her fit figure while enjoying a shorefront family day — the yellow rim of the photo was also a total giveaway that the images were initially shared by media outlet Just Jared.

Taking an aim and prepping to throw her yellow football, the former Disney star enjoyed a sandy beach with a volleyball net nearby as she lifted the ball with one arm, stretching it behind her. Eyes were likely on Hilary's body, though. Showcasing her gym-honed legs and waistline and also flaunting some curve, the currently pregnant star was also photographed catching the ball, with further photos showing her enjoying an ocean dip.

Fans seeing the IG repost were quick to comment. Some sent loving emoji, and one fan replied: "I've seen pictures of this bikini but never this picture, thanks for posting." Hilary has made headlines for embracing her body the way it is and refusing to conform to Hollywood's super-skinny pressure. The star is also an eating disorder survivor, having dropped as low as 98 pounds when she was sick.

"Because of my career path, I can’t help but be like I am on camera and actresses are skinny. It was horrifying," Duff revealed of becoming sick as she eyed up the image portrayed as normal by the industry. "[I’m] appreciating my health, doing activities that make me feel strong instead of just bettering the outside of my body," she also revealed of learning to love herself.

In May 2022, Hilary made headlines for the above shoot, one coming as part of her fronting Women's Health. Stunning with a cheeky display as she wore only skin and showed off her gorgeous figure, Hilary won fans over with her confidence and self-love, something she's also opened up about in terms of being a mother.

“I’m proud that it’s produced three children for me. I’ve gotten to a place of being peaceful with the changes my body has gone through. I also want people to know a makeup artist was there putting glow all over my body and someone put me in the most flattering position," Hilary stated after having welcomed her third child. The star is now expecting baby #4 with husband Matthew Korma.
