Harry Dean Stanton died Friday afternoon at a hospital in Los Angeles, The Blast has confirmed.
We’re told Stanton died at 2:25 PM surrounded by family at Cedars-Sinai hospital. According to Stanton’s rep, he passed away from natural causes.
He was 91.

Stanton has been in some of the most iconic movies of the last century, including, “Cool Hand Luke,” The Godfather Part II,” “Pretty in Pink,” and “Alien.”
He also had a starring role on HBO’s “Big Love.”

Stanton lived an impressive life, even serving as a cook in the Navy during WWII aboard a ship in the Battle of Okinawa.
