Avril Lavigne Enjoys Date Night with Britney Spears' Ex-Fling

Avril Lavigne enjoyed a night on the town with record producer J.R. Rotem, who has a history dating pop stars.
The two were spotted holding hands as they left the Nice Guy on Sunday night in West Hollywood. It's unclear just how serious they are, though Avril has referred to J.R. as "bae" on Instagram. So there's that.

Rotem has produced songs for the likes of Kevin Federline, Lindsay Lohan and The Cheetah Girls — and, to be fair, has also worked with people like Nicki Minaj, Gwen Stefani, Fifth Harmony and Maroon 5.
But Rotem is probably best known for "dating" Britney Spears for a few weeks in 2007, when Britney was known more for erratic behavior than her music.
