During a new interview with Vogue Franc, Dion opened up about her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome and revealed whether a return to performing is a possibility.

The 56-year-old Canadian singer confessed that she "takes it one day at a time" and is "learning to live with it."

Responding to a question about her welfare, she replied, "I'm well, but it's a lot of work. I'm taking it one day at a time."

Dion also stated that living with the condition has resulted in a Five-day-a-week "athletic, physical and vocal therapy," adding that she had to "learn to live with it now and stop questioning myself."

"At the beginning, I would ask myself 'Why me? How did this happen? What have I done? Is this my fault?' Life doesn't give you any answers. You just have to live it!" she shared.

During the interview, Dion spoke about her relationship with fashion designers and stated that she does not collaborate with them as it would be "pretentious" of her.

She disclosed that she'd always been left with "hand-me-downs" from her 13 siblings and wasn't able to buy designer clothes until her first album in English.

"When I got my first paycheck, my first paid television appearances I bought clothes for myself and dressed myself," she said.

The singer continued, "With my first successes, I bought a house for myself and my husband, and for my parents and some family members too. After my first album in English, I was able to buy clothes from designers, and I started to read fashion magazines."

Dion defied all odds to make a surprise appearance at the Grammy Awards in February, where she presented Taylor Swift with her Album of the Year Award.

It was the first time she'd been seen following several years out of the spotlight after disclosing in 2022 that she'd been diagnosed with the condition.

Stiff person syndrome is a rare autoimmune neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms that come and go and can worsen over time.

Dion lamented the spasm episode in an emotional video she shared with fans at the time, noting that it has caused her "difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I'm used to."
